MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8
Good Times Grimes replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's like saying they hate Jones because of his haircut...absolutely no idea -
-
I reckon that even if he's not getting a game, he's one of the most important players we currently have on our list. There's really no one else capable of coming in and replacing Max if needed.

A bit of a delayed response (haven't posted in a while), but how nice was Shanahan's [censored] eating grin when he discovered we won the first pick?

In the words of the great Guru Bob, "Just remember, when Collingwood loses to Hawthorn, there are a billion people in China who don't care"
-
I know that Port Adelaide also sponsored the Chinese team at the 2014 International Cup and paid for them to go to Adelaide and have a tour of the facilities despite the tournament being based in Melbourne. I find it strange that Melbourne didn't do anything with the Chinese team given that it could have been done at little to no cost, even if it was as simple as a tour of the facilities. I get the impression that we aren't overly serious about pursuing the Chinese connection.

I think all we'll see is Garlett for Vince (susp). Wouldn't mind seeing Pedersen for Frost, but I don't think we'll make any unforced changes.

After the joys of last weekend, I took the week off posting. For some strange reason, I feel as though I have no choice but to watch tonight. The main thing that I want to see is the team respond and play with some heart this weekend. The talent is there, but it's the ticker that's the question.

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 2
Good Times Grimes replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
This may be a stupid question, but how does the scoring work? I see Kennedy has 29, yet he received way more than 29 votes in this thread alone. -

MATCH PREVIEW & TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 2, 2016
Good Times Grimes replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
DA, it seems that the answer to your question is "no". -
This is getting ridiculous. The next thing we'll hear is that they're bringing Dank in to lead the Essendon faithful in a communal shoot-up in tribute to the banned 34.

It's better to try and take your mind off things rather than staring at a hospital wall while the surgery's being performed. The situation was out of Bartlett's control, and he was close enough that he would have been able to rush back to the hospital if needed. Glad it seems that it's all worked out and Josh is on the road to recovery.

Apparently they've sold very well. -
How many will Hogan get on Saturday?
Good Times Grimes replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hogan to be moved to the backline at three quarter time in a match winning move. Pedersen will thrive in the last quarter without Hogan choking up the forward line and kick 10 last quarter goals to finish with 15 for the day. Long live #PedoMyths! -
Clayton Oliver - Round 1 Rising Star Nomination
Good Times Grimes replied to dees189227's topic in Melbourne Demons
Here's the audio of his interview. The guy is a legend. -
I think the umpire made the correct decision in not calling that a free kick. Hodge didn't take out Greyson's legs. If he had it should've been a free, but it seems he didn't make significant contact.

MATCH REPORT - Round 1 ANOTHER STEP FORWARD
Good Times Grimes replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It was a major issue for us in the first half of our NAB challenge game against Port, but we managed to fix it after half time as the forward pressure became more effective. I suppose the challenge is to prevent guys from getting sucked in to contests that their direct opponent isn't in, because if we lose the contest then we're automatically outnumbered on the opposition's counterattack.
