Yeah, Karlsson is unbelievably good. Bobby Ryan was a great pick up as well...I'd love to have him on the Leafs. I like the look of the Leafs this year, but I'm not thrilled with a couple of the moves they made in the offseason (massive contracts to Clarkson/Kessel/Kadri). Last night was a great game though!

Similar sort of luck...Ottawa hasn't EVER won...worse than the Dees! I've hated Ottawa since they met the Leafs about 4 years in a row in the playoffs...it's a great rivalry! Well, it was. They haven't played in the playoffs since then and the Sens have had the upper hand in recent years. Can't wait until the next time we face you guys in the playoffs!

The Jays have just won their 10th in a row and are right back into contention!- The No T$ No B$ Thread

Alright, the season's underway! Who's your prediction for the 2013 World Series Champs? I like what the Jays have done in the offseason, but I find it hard to go past the Tigers. There's lots of good teams going around though...should make for an interesting season!- NHL
The lockout's officially over! Teams are expected to play a 48 game season in addition to the regular playoff fixture. The schedule should be released in the coming days.- Major League Baseball
Melky Cabrera to the Jays too!- NHL
It's ridiculous. The two sides are $182m apart over five years. The cancellation of games for the next two weeks is costing the owners $266m and the players $126m.- Major League Baseball
The Blue Jays have reportedly acquired Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson and John Buck in exchange for Yunel Escobar, Henderson Alvarez, Josh Nicolino and Adeiny Hechavarria. One of the biggest trades I've ever seen the Jays do... today is a good day.- Major League Baseball
The Giants were big winners over the Cardinals in Game 7 of the NLCS, meaning that the World Series is between Detroit and San Francisco. Should be an interesting series; my tip: Detroit in 6.- Major League Baseball
A few months late on the response, but it was Armando Galaragga. This is the best footage of it I could find, since the MLB removes almost all footage put onto YouTube.- NHL
I doubt this one will last the whole season, but I find it amazing that Bettman has overseen 2 lockouts in the span of less than 10 years. Surely his job will be on the line if this isn't resolved promptly.- NHL
Rick Nash to the New York Rangers! Columbus is now even further from getting off the bottom of the Western Conference...- NHL
The two big UFAs (Parise and Suter) both signed identical 13 year/ $98m contracts with the Minnesota Wild. A funny fact: Both Parise and Suter are 27 years old. The combined goal total from the past season of all the NHLers who were 27 13 years ago is ZERO.- NHL
Rumour has it that Martin Brodeur is going to be testing the free agent market on July 1. He'll most likely be joined by his team mate and captain, Parise. I wonder how the NJD will do next year if they lose 2 of their most important players...- NHL
I had the same experience. When I was flying down to Australia, there was no LAK merchandise to be found anywhere in LAX. On the return, though, the Kings were the pride of everything in the airport, including Wolfgang Puck! He's been rewarded with a 10 year contract!- NHL
His manager gets to pocket more than $5m of that. Ridiculous.- Major League Baseball
Matt Cain threw the first perfect game in Giants history and the 22nd of all time last night... 2 this season already!- NHL
Now I'm looking forward to when the free agent and trading excitement begins. Looks like Rick Nash will be heading to the New York Rangers, while Luongo is also likely to be on the move.- NHL
I'd say if the Devils can win game 6, they'll win the series. Come on LA...just one more win!!!- NHL
I'm looking forward to it. A big Brodeur performance is needed for that to happen.- NHL
Yep, I would be a very vocal member of the crowd without a doubt. I can't blame him for taking the money, but the way he went about it was disgraceful. This discussion has been done to death in a number of topics for the past year and a half now though, so I won't say any more. I think I'll be watching it at my brother's house. Thanks for the offer though. It's disappointing that I'll just miss out on seeing the end of the series back in North America. Seeing more footy softens the blow though. Did you see that game tonight? It was a ripper.- NHL
It's true, and I'm sure LA won't even be thinking about where it would be better to win...they'd be equally happy winning it on Mars. Yep...still in Oz for another week and a bit. I'm spewing that the Dees have the bye next week and GW$ the week after...I would love to see the return of $cully.- NHL
They'd have to break the Kings perfect road record to do it. If I were LA I'd want to win Game 6 at home though...I don't think the buzz would be quite the same if you win the Cup on the road with the crowd being 95% in favour of the opposition. - Major League Baseball
