  1. If you are referring me as Nudge thats not right. It was just a random email forwarded to me. The original sender I don't know, he just sent to a mate of mine whos a bomber supporter. Could be and probably is complete trash and please don't hold me to it but its something to add to the discussions. I was just happiest about the end part where it talked about GWS being a schamozzle.
  2. It should read in this order: Giants in MASSIVE trouble, AFL sh1tting themselves – Are expected to go backwards next year, potential spoon. Haven’t invested nearly enough in development and players are already raising concerns . Any backwards slide would see a massive player exodus and the club become an almost irreparable mess – Cameron gone!
  3. So I just got the following emailed to me from a mate.... who's mate attended a breakfast at the MCC with C Wilson, D Barrett, J Ralph & S Edmund. Anyways, dont take it as gospel, could be rubbish, most likely is complete rubbish but I thought i'd toss it out here in case some people find it interesting. Dont know if he expects me to post it anywhere but that much crap gets spruiked anyways I doubt people care. Melbourne been assured of getting pick 3 for Frawley – Apparently he still hasn’t told the club whether he’ll stay and Peter Jackson’s only concern is that he might. The request for a priority pick was all part of the plan to get the best compo for Frawley – PJ a genius. All AFL clubs attended a meeting at the Westpac Centre to discuss trade week a few days ago and Melbourne hang pick 3 was widely accepted by all Dees, Saints and GWS up to their eyeballs in discussions on possible draft pick re-shuffling/trades Saints love McCartin and know the Dees and Giants want mids (Giants have no interest in McCartin, b0ners for Petracca) Saints happy to offload pick 1 to GWS so they can secure Petracca, for pick 4 and a player – If the Dees agree to lay off McCartin with picks 2 & 3, he’ll still be there at 4. Trouble for the Saints is the Dees are looking to take Brayshaw with 2 or 3 and off load the other pick to a club desperate for a tall – Saints might need to make it worth the Dees while… Potential 3 way trade: Saints – Get Pick 4 (MCCartin) and a player (potentially Jaksch) for pick 1 Giants – Get Pick 1 (Petracca) - Shiel and a latter pick to the Dees for pick 3 Dees – Pick 2 (Brayshaw), Shiel and a late 1st round/early 2nd round pick or Frost Hird no chance to coach ever again McKenna gone – Abblett knifing him behind closed doors, supporting him publicly Ryder to Port if the Brisbane deal hasn’t already been done Swans cashed up again with Malceski, Mitchell, O’Keefe and Goodes all expected to leave and will pull out as surprise big signing Hawks will get Frawley – As soon as the GF is over the make him a massive offer Trouble at the Dogs, players unhappy with the coach, senior players think the young blokes are getting ahead of themselves – A few ripe to be picked off Haven’t invested nearly enough in development and players are already raising concerns Any backwards slide would see a massive player exodus and the club become an almost irreparable mess – Cameron gone! Giants in MASSIVE trouble, AFL sh1tting themselves – Are expected to go backwards next year, potential spoon.
  4. If you want to have some real dirty thoughts Vibes imagine remarkably: 1. Frawley and Clark stay, play a full year at the previous best 2. We trade pick 2 and a Toump for Danger 3. Trade our third rounder for Labamba (second rounder for Stretch) 4. Pick of Malceski in the PSD FB Frawley Dunn Nev HB Malceski McDonald Harry O C Watts Danger Viney HF Howe Dawes Salem FF Hogan Clark JKH R: Jamar Jones Tyson pine Trenners, Gawn, Cross, Kent, Grimes, Garland and whoever else I have probably forgot Now that is touching yourself material!
  5. Here is one guy who I desperately hoped would make it. Is tough as nails, can kick the pill and has a bit of agro. Unfortunately just can't take the next step however I liked how he played as an inside mid in the two's instead of on a flank where has has most of his career. If he sticks around he needs to lose a few kg's and stay out of the gym. If its good enough for Jordan Lewis to slim down to assist his speed (or lack thereof) then its good enough for anyone. I still hope he becomes something but wouldn't be surprised to see him on the chopping block.
  6. My last post on Nev Jetta was when people were talking about rookie listing him again If we were going to re-draft a never was we mind as well have taken Heath Scotland. At least he was a has been and still might influence a couple games next year Might have been a bit off on that one... yuck Couldn't be happier that you made me eat my words in the similar fashion Dunn and Pedo have. Great work and hope you keep your body right and have another good year. Congrats mate.
  7. I'd throw the picks at him, players, cash, women, the kitchen sink. I don't care, just get him! In an ideal world we could go pick 2 plus a player I'd take it anyday. Second option would be pick 2 & 3 for Danger and 10. Would still take this every day of the week it as over time it has looked like: 2008 - Nicnat & Hill for Danger and Davis (Sidebottom was pick 11) 2009 - Trenners & Dusty for Danger and Melksham 2010 - Harley & Sam Day for Danger and Gorringe (although Lynch was there at 11) 2011 - Coniglio & Sir Dom for Danger and Sumner (Greene, Docherty, Taylor Adams and Devon Smith followed in the draft) 2012 - O'Rourke & Plowman for Danger and Daniher (Menzel and Jaksh the next two picks) 2013 - Kelly & Billings for Danger and Freeman (with Sheed, Lennon & Dunstan to come) It's rare that pick three is that much better than pick 10 anyway if we don't manage to completely shank it. Not sure why people aren't jumping at the chance of bringing arguably the most damaging mid/forward in the game to our list. The guys a genuine superstar / match winner / player that will get bums on seats! 7th in the Brownlow in 2012 4th in 2013 5th last night We are instantly a better team with him in instead of fart arsing around with draft picks... again!
  8. Not sure what else he can say when asked however. Even if he didn't feel that way it wouldn't be the best look if he said that
  9. He's no superstar but he does a solid enough job for us not to worry about a CHB for the next decade. His kicking will get better with age as he continually improves and learns his limits.
  10. The big Pedo himself! Well done lad. Completely wrote you off a couple minutes into your first game after ducking your scone. This year you came back with a bang and I couldn't be happier doing all the things I love my key forwards doing in taking good solid pack grabs and absolutely burrying midfielders/flankers when you tackle. No idea where the aggression at the pill and player came from but it was great. Good lad now keep it up!
  11. That's the one! Thanks bud, appreciate it. I think the Catters will be the one for him next season. I know you have your Cats contacts Machsy, your thoughts on this?
  12. In fairness, Riley isn't anything on Barlow. Barlow is a wonderful player but he did look really scratchy for his first half a dozen matches IIRC. Rohan isn't exactly setting the world on fire either after the injury. I'm not making excuses for Riley, I'm just lowering the ceiling. He will be a B grader on his best days and a C grader at best. Hopefully he gets a full preseason (critical for midfielders especially) and we build enough depth around him where is our last mid picked.
  13. Bit of random trivia I learnt today is that his dad, Ollie Wines dad and Ryan O'Keefes dad all played in a flag together at Anglesea. Surely the three of them would love catching up while watching there boys run around in the red and blue (one can dream ) His parents are still down there and he has purchased a house there in one of the small towns. Something Creek, cant remember. Anyways, he is down there a lot and is still a Victorian at heart. I don't think he will finish his career at the Crows and I honestly don't think they expect him to either.
  14. I was very disappointed in Frank's season predominately as I expected him to come on so much. He's a ripping kid and I still have high hopes but feel the captaincy and 31 has placed to much unnecessary pressure on a kid still finding his way in the AFL. I don't know the effect it will have on him if loses the captaincy where it could shatter him completely or get him back on track. It's a shame Trenners didn't play this year as we might have some scope. If were to pick up a Harry O (no idea what name he goes by now) or a Malceski he might find himself on thin ice.
  15. Posted this a while ago in a Danger thread that I spoke to a family member of his and he said Danger will 100% be back in Victoria to finish his his career. Said he had no idea where but he will definitely come home. No reason to doubt this but surely the Crows would know if true and look to get more benefit from trading this year before losing next for just the compo. My money would be on the cats picking him up
  16. I liked it and agree it's hard to put players in it when we don't know who Have be on the list come round 1. I'm sure there will be more promo videos come out once the list is final. Living In the bush and already being a MCC member I admit I was a bit tight the last two years but just paid the MCC last week and ticked the extra $$ box to sign up as a Dees member as well. #myheartbeatstrue
  17. I'd send him packing for Garlett. At least Jeffy boy has proved he can play a full year and kick some sausages. But really couldn't care either way
  18. They still have some great youth and Barrel and Selwood have a lot of footy left. Rivers has been really good.... Had to say it
  19. In fairness, O'Keefe is (was) twice the player Byrnes is. But agree with your point
  20. Well done to all 3 players on signing new contracts. None are stars but they are a lot more fair dinkum than 70% of the rest of the team. Bail runs his backside off every game on the spread and with his gut running continues to make an option. No idea what his stats are but surely would be around 15-20 touches of the pill a game and close to a sausage. Playing in the grave yard spot on the HFF thats not bad. Obviously he shanks a few touches but at least he gets the ball. Riley has shown bits and pieces that he will be ok. He is as hard as McKenzie but with more skill. So I know who I'd keep there. Terlich was our third best player last year some forget. Is obviously in and out of the ones as Roos has him working on something but he is hard as a cats head and always puts his body on the line. Nev Jetta has taken his spot this year but I'd have him as insurance over some of the others. Clearly we haven't retained any superstars here but happy to retain as depth over at least 8-10 others
  21. Thanks for writing an insightful post and backing it up with some key points/stats. I just don't think he has it in him to become a great player. You can [censored] him all you like, you can build his arms/torso up as much as you like. You can give him as much time as you like to become good but if you are not born/raised with the mentality that you want to tackle people and take the game on you never will learn that no matter how many floggings you get. He hit a couple nice passes during the game I thought. Couldn't remember to many shanks. I have faith he will get better.
  22. Great post mate, can't argue your points. I'm just greedy and want more from him that's all. Also, I just want him to get some intent with his tackling. Couple times against the hawkers I think it was Smith who just ran through him which was painful watching. Don't see the point in trading him and we wouldn't get anything of merit but there is no way in the world that I am even close to being satisfied of some of his performances/efforts this year.
  23. I read the '16' line first, thought jnrmac is having a laugh till I read the names. Can't argue much which is sad. The only one I'd keep is Jamar. He isn't great and won't return to his A/A year but I like him being there as it forces Gawny to work hard for his spot. Gawn was literraly smashing the door down to get a game at Casey and he has been solid since. I think next year Gawn will be the number 1 ruckman for us but I still have doubts on his body. I'd retain Jamar for backup as have no faith in Spencil. Other than that your list is spot on. The only players I consider best 22: FB: Jetta Dunn **** HB: ***** McDonald ***** C: Vince Jones ***** HF: ***** Dawes ***** FF: **** Hogan Gawn R: Jamar, Viney, Tyson Everyone else in the team has some serious work to do and Jamar is on thin ice. I have no doubt Salem, Trenners, Viney, JKH, Kent, Toump etc will become good players but they are yet to really show this on a consistent basis. We have a lot of work to do.
