Hawthorn got Hodge, Lewis, Franklin and Roughhead. Collingwood picked up Pendlebury and Dale Thomas in '05 after playing off with the lions in '02 and '03 GF. Carlton won both the Gibbs and Kruezer cups. West Coast played in the' 05 and won the '06 GFs only to pick up Nic Nat at pick#2 in '08. And we were the ones who got lynched by the media. Now during the week Slobbo throws out his good mate drug cheat Hirds name again as a "potential" replacement for Worsfold. And then has the gall to drag up our tanking labelling it Footys Biggest Cover-up on the front page the very day we meet his precious drug cheating footy club. What a Forking joke of a biased journalist.

Even in those 2 finals we won we butchered it going forward with little composure. We had a good 1st and last qr against Geelong. We made a mess of the 2nd and 3rd when we should have put them away. Hawthorn game was similar and then West Coast put our 1 dimensional game plan to the sword when they knew every ball was gonna go in high and long.

Whereas I think Goodwin knows we have no-one in the midfield who can really deliver to forwards at an elite level so has just gone with the bomb it in there as often as you can and hope for the best mentality.

I too am sick of all the talk. Have been listening to the BS for decades. Have to redeem ourselves every second week etc. As for Goodys coaching. We've butchered the ball going into the forward 50 with his famed "Chaos ball" since he's been in charge. Lets just bang it in there and hope we can scrub enough through the goals seems to be the mantra. Game plan is garbage. Even worse now with the 666. Coaches have been caught with their pants down.

Couldn't agree more. Didn't hear Hawthorn and Geelong complaining about short pre-seasons due to long finals campaigns and players off for surgeries when they were winning flags.
