  1. In big Finals there has on occasion been unexpected selection/positional moves which have blindsided the opposition. (BMT of course!) Jack Mueller’s recall in ‘48 is the stuff of football legend. Max has goal kicking form in finals, who could forget the ‘21 Preliminary final where he gave the sCats five of the best?
  2. Any spare Redheads lying around? Expected Josh the ‘Shack’ to burn the house down in the scratch match. Given he’s last tall forward available.
  3. Firstly l’m wishing Angus Brayshaw a speedy and hopefully a complete recovery. Secondly a fair and just outcome in the post-tribunal wash up. If the AFL hierarchy are truly committed to minimising the impact of concussion accidentally, unintentionally or otherwise. Here is an opportunity for the AFL to act with authority and integrity by sending a clear signal competition wide. Subsequently there must be an appropriate consequence given. To do otherwise would be a failure of responsibility.
  4. Brayshaw - unmercifully cleaned up Neal - Bullen - joeboy book specsavers
  5. Beyond frustrating, played like merde yet the game was so tantalising close. Two decent kicks for goal was all that was needed, had enough opportunities last quarter to sink a ship thrice over. Line in the MCG turf. Not doing straight sets.
  6. Staunched the bleeding get up off the canvas. Give these bullies some back with interest.
  7. Front Bar tonight… Mick Molloy “ Blues will go deep into the finals this year” Asked how far “quarter time this Friday” Eddie, Tony Shaw Peter and Nick Daicos in the Collingwood box… on field footage Demons absolutely torching the pies 🔥
  8. Fritsch off legs. Grundy back to the shoe shop?
  9. Roan Steele! Saturday Matinee Idol finish.
  10. Adding insult to injury, Carlton's first choice umpires appear to get a run.
  11. TLTL Jefferson and AMW feature up forward. Goal!
  12. Dare we say it... officially a demolition. Jimmy Munro may be having a holiday early next season. Meanwhile Luke's down the pound looking for strays.
  13. Rohan Steele has some polish.
  14. Casey showing some fight mini 3 goal blitz!
  15. Absolute definition of unrealistic marking attempt, infringes, play on, goal.
  16. Fllood gates about to open?
  17. #4 bit off too much there.
  18. Rohan Steel terrific effort! Goal.
  19. Now that was a gem of a goal! Jimmy my man Munro.
  20. 50 metre penalty. Now that was a dog of gaol. Poor umpiring according to Campbell Brown.
  21. Round 7 1987 http://www.demonwiki.org/Round+7+1987 quote "the Collingwood full-forward lost the plot and found himself reported". According to demonwiki there was a rematch later in the season (round 20), where Taylor was again reported. Demons won the stoush and recorded their biggest win at Victoria Park. Great days with Swooper at the helm.
  22. With medium to tall forwards going down like nine pins this season. Who knows? Last man standing Josh Shache, may have his Steven Bradbury moment sooner than some folk think. In the meantime we suggest he billets with the aforementioned Steven May for ‘intensity’ training over next summer. Plus engage the ‘personal training services’ of Brent Moloney’s Gym (bring your on punching bag). All invitations though to socially fraternize with those two gentlemen should however be respectfully declined.
  23. BT in prison strip running around after Danny Hughes at Her Majesty’s MCG gave the keystone cops a run for their money. We were most amused! Robbie Flower took a terrific pack mark and kicked a goal (of course) at the Jolimont end during that match.
  24. Nice of the Bullies to meet Casey halfway at Box Hill City oval. At least the venue is neutral. Assume Whitten oval needs a deep clean and splash of paint after Mad Monday? Or is it booked for obedience training after failure to follow El Luke’s team rules, game plan etc?
  25. Bub, always been in the Tom MacDonald camp from the beginning of his footy career. From back in the dark ages as a developing key defender. Through his remarkable transition to a key forward in 2018 and his terrific contributions to the '21 flag season. Given the physical attrition on his body (he has had lengthy injury spells in the last three seasons). My concerns are; 1. Does he still cover the ground defensively and still retain his once elite endurance running? 2. Is he able impact contests with sufficient mobility and agility especially when the ball hits the deck? 3. Can he get sufficient separation from his opponents to take the ball in the air cleanly? His performances at Casey post operation and recovery have definitely been encouraging. The signs particularly from last round suggest Tom is playing with more freedom and authority. If he is able to tick the boxes I'd be elated for him to turn back the clock for 3 seasons.
