Picket we’re wondering if you observed these ‘boys’ training on your recent ‘voyage’ ? Rumours ‘suggest’ they are cognisant with the latest version of the revised game plan for next season.

Old 6 whether you’re the beneficiary of a press pass or you’ve hit the sweet spot and shooting with some very nice teleglass. The resulting pictures capture the action moments fluidly. Cheers!

Ted Fidge’s Health
Cheers PM for your recall of the Fidge-Millane incident. Round 10 1988 At the Waverly Colosseum. A hard fought win against a rampant Collingwood outfit. Remains in my memory as being one the best footy 'contests' I witnessed at Artic Park. Certainly warmed up with the Fidge-Millane square-off. Always had the impression Ted was the retaliator and Millane had been the initiator. The Faux enforcer picked the wrong bloke that day. Ted used to work out on the weights, he carried in his plumber's van at lunchtime. It was not a 'king hit' as both men were facing each other. Brian 'Willo' Wilson starred that day and led the Demons' comeback to record a resounding victory and most likely earned 3 Brownlow votes when it still meant something.

Ted Fidge’s Health
GNS pleased to read about that. John played some good footy for the Demons. Originally hailed from the St Peter’s Football Club in the old ‘hood.

Ted Fidge’s Health
Yes had a clear view of the punch that sent Millane to the canvas. Ted won the stoush by a TKO. Millane managed to stand up on very rubbery legs and left the field visibly concussed. John Northey was not impressed it was the last game Ted played. Recall news of John Fidge, Ted’s more talented younger brother as having some health problems post his footy career too. Wish Ted and his family some satisfactory resolution in dealing with the impact on his health from concussion. Would be a very positive step forward for the AFL to take meaningful action and accept appropriate responsibility for those former players affected by this affliction

How did you become a Demon?
No blueblood Demon dynasty in my family affiliations l’m afraid. Reason l’m a Dees supporter is probably due to Dr Don Cordner, giving a group of young neophyte nurses tickets to attend the footy at the ‘G. My mother was training to be a nurse at the Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne at the time and was a recipient of of Don Cordner’s largesse. Fast forward to the Ronald Dale’s appearances on the Tarax Show live at the Channel 9 Studio in Richmond. Although the only time l saw him play was at Princess Park, my Dad was a Blues supporter. Of my three daughters only the youngest is a true red and blue Demon. But we both enjoyed the pleasurable catharsis from MFCSS by attending the 2021 Grand Final together.

Casey Demons 2024
In retrospect probably a victim of our increasingly gentrified or is it geriatricfried(?) list. Not naming names but there are a few gents nearing the superannuated end of their tethers. Trust Goody has the Tardis tuned up for a career defining retrospective.

Is Josh going the Full Monty in order to be Max’s understudy? Or putting his faith in primate reversion therapy to revive his AFL career? Wishing him well for the upcoming season preseason and beyond.

Phantom Drafts 2023
- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
PD my purpose when using of the word ‘pedigree’ was being rather loose with the language, more akin to the hyperbole of draft ratings than genetics. But in keeping with my canine theme more scatological than etymological. My knowledge of Carlton United products is rather dated. But Foster must have a special exemption, as l was under the erroneous impression that Fosters lager was only available offshore, especially in cans.- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
- 2024 Fixture
Too early to call a change of 💔 from the AFL fixture Tin men. But a premium position given the local interest and venue. Demons can Fly in and Fly out with the Grange Hermitage. Crows can warble 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', as a lament, accompanied by ukulele from the Adelaide Oval dungeons. Blues can tip toe thru the dewdrops seeking a humility transplant.- Vale Ronald Dale Barassi - Rest in Peace
Serendipitously watching post breakfast from afar. Had me totally engrossed, some excellent speeches, anecdotes and memories covering Ron’s life and footy career. Highlights Lou Richard’s joke about God aspiring to be RDB on the footy field. The interaction between Ted Whitten and Ron in Adelaide during an interstate footy carnival. “Who is Mr Football?” and Ron’s son Ron Barassi lll ‘s eulogy to his father. Tony Jones referred to the expected maximum temperature in Melbourne today at 31 degrees. Channel 9 timed out unfortunately as Mike Brady commenced playing. When l became aware of the darkness outside and the first rains of the wet season. Veni Vedi Vici Vale Ronald Dale Barassi.- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
Gil’s apparently booked him and the JB’s for his final farewell appearance as the outgoing AFL CEO at this year’s National Draft Ball. Highlight of the evening will be a medley of JB originals as a tribute to Gil’s career and contribution to footy. Songs believed to be in the medley selection include “Papa Don’t Make No Mess”, “It’s a Man’s Man’s World”, “Please Please Please” and as the finale a stirring rendition of “Give It Up Or Turnit Loose” * James Brown was unable to attend the recent AFL Draft Combine but this exert of his highlights video got industry recruitment insiders excited. As his agility testing was literally thru the roof blitzing Jimmy Krakouer’s long standing record. * “Hot Pants” and “Sex Machine” were considered but not included as these numbers were deemed inappropriate for this audience.- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
Kynan Brown’s debut as the work experience kid at Casey this season gone was nearing auspiciousness. After kicking one goal, fluffed his lines on a second certainty, kicking to the left side of the goal post. Virtually on the goal line under perceived pressure rather than an opponent breathing down his neck. Suggesting an ‘excitable nervousness’ got the better of him. Dad Doggie was not the most polished player going round but never took a backward step. Young Kynan did not appear overawed on his Casey appearance and seemed to be a deceptively solid build for his age and inherited physique. More tyro Weimaraner than Whippet.- Every Team's 2024 Pass Mark
Overcome the BS, scale the heights and take the flag with resolve.- Goody Saves a Life in Bali
I was once told by a member of the legal profession when all else had failed there was still ‘karma’ turned out to be true. - Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
