  1. It was bad wasn't it? I thought it was anyway. I have absolutely no idea what is involved in having players ready for media etc, is it a group or individual thing? For example do they pull Cale aside beforehand and go over how to answer this and that or is that time spent during the week? Either way it is done, they are spending much time in 'training' players on how to answer questions about a team mates commitment to them. Is this why CS today and CC yesterday fronted media and none of the players? Just a thought.
  2. Best thing Robbie, if you can, is got to the SEN site and have a listen.
  3. What's the point? Your opinion is established. JB is a fairly smart, switched on chap though.
  4. Needing to validate yourself by asking that of another? Now I'm turning red E. This is sad.
  5. Over half the interview was about that exact topic. If no one wants to discuss it then this thread is only half open to discussion?
  6. Results wise Cook speaks for himself at West Coast and Geelong. But Cam had a good days with us previously, did a pretty good job for Fremantle and is doing a sterling job with us now. Not sure Kevin Bartlett would have much to say about CS?
  7. It is available at SEN now. Happy to fill in but may be better if you can to have a listen dandeeman?
  8. May as well look somewhere else then. 9 minutes and more than half on...
  9. Well paint me red & blue and call me insecure. Cale Morton not distracted when he answers questions incorrect? Jack Trengove gets 3 articles that all take in the one subject for the majority. More media and radio interviews than I can recall from a demon perspective to start any season, yet the focus is on a single team member rather than the group. Doesn't sit well with me. But I'm just distracted and insecure.
  10. Premiers for '11: Western Bulldogs Wooden Spoon: Richmond Most Goals for Demons: Liam Jurrah - 68 Leading Goalkicker in AFL: Buddy Franklin - 89 Final Ladder position: 8th Wins: 11.5 Most tackles: Jack Trengove Most marks: Jack Grimes Most handballs: Tom Scully Most kicks: Aaron Davey Most 1%'s: Jared Rivers Best first year player: Lucas Cook Bluey: Jack Grimes Biggest crowd: 89,600 - Melb v Coll Queens B'day Worst Journo: Barrett Best Journo: Martin Flanagan/Caroline Wilson/Jake Niall - enjoy all 3 for differing reasons but Flanagan well on top Biggest news story for '11: The biggest name to sign with GWS will be the big one - hopefully nothing to see here. Quote of the season: "show me the money" - a chorus of AFL players
  11. Yep. Three Jack Trengove articles this year, three headlines above the story relating to Scully and the 1st paragraph not completed before the Scully question comes. Do something about this Tom.
  12. Great point Bhima, the game and especially the tactics have changed and developed so quickly that it is disappointing to hear commentary from 'expert's like Robert Walls. They give you nothing from a tactical point of view. The same old comment to change each match, 'move the forward to the ruck or ruck forward' etc etc. Something we could take from the coverage of US sport (especially NFL) is the fantastic coverage and in-depth analysis that is part of both their magazine type programs and the game day commentary. Great article By G Healy.
  13. Do players actually sign with the trotters?
  14. That would be lovely. Three interviews with Jack Trengove this year and all revolve around one topic for the majority. Next.
  15. I await the day we seem them in any game together let alone playing off for the flag. Three in there that will get over the injuries hopefully and one that won't be anyway after this year! Well it is a vent thread!
  16. An obvious call that has been known for a while. Jordie still to come in also. There are many concerns about the middle right now. Players like Blease and Gysberts could improve us in this area but where are they? They are two that need to be forcing at least one of Moloney or Jones out or at least providing pressure.
  17. Opinion is just that I guess because I though he was fantastic as usual. As much football together as possible for Frawley and Grimes in our backline can only be a good thing.
  18. Stop wasting your time mate. The same half dozen use the same reference constantly as if it elevates them. It's very sad but I'm sure they all feel better for it.
  19. Back to training and out of the spotlight for a month. Let the media now fall in love with Tulla Bombers. Senior guys last night looked a little disinterested. We looked more lethargic overall IMO, would this be due to a higher training load perhaps after having a week between NAB games? Annoyed by the lack of success at stoppages. The movement into the forward line will improve if we can win more ball here.
  20. What a sad thread.
  21. I'm a father of 2 boys. I can't wait for 20 years time when I get blamed for everything. What a cop out. Bags of concrete people and harden the f up.
  22. Probably.
  23. Agree, not on the part of others being stupid, it is opinion after all but Watts looks pained when things don't go as planned. Thankfully he is not one to dwell or all the ridiculous expectations may have got the better of him. He is nicely placed IMO.
  24. Keep this guy away from anything MFC. He continues to give the Casey area a bad name. It was in jest High Tower and anyone that didn't get that......gee wiz. The editing of comments lately is sad. Enjoy the year everyone...
