Agree. But then we can't hear about turnovers in the corridor Damned if we do, damned if we don't

Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...

I think you might have answered your question. It's the players. As a group. They just aren't up to it. So you turn over as many of the weak links that you can. What a sad conclusion after all these years. We just don't have the cattle. -

Roos talking to Matt Burgan on the club web site says he wants the players to come out and play angry on the weekend. He gets it, of course. The question is, do the playing group? -

There is no question that our best is better than the last 2 or 3 years. From 5 years ago: """ The Demons scored the opening goal after just 21 seconds and led seven goals to one after little more than 10 minutes in a horror opening for the Swans. Melbourne posted 50 points (8.2) to just two goals in a dominant first quarter, Sydney's worst start to a game in almost two years. """ Not so sure our best now is better than that day - I was there, and it was the closest thing to good footy I'd seen since the Rev and Swooper teams in their prime. I have no interest in words from the Club. Show me the wins. -
I received a thoughtful response from PJ. I won't post it, but it acknowledged what we rusted on supporters have had to put up with and confirmed that there's more work to be done, that will be done. Off field, the Club is clearly in good shape. I don't think I would want to be an underperforming player at Melbourne in a fortnight's time.

Someone removed me why we got rid of Swooper... Seriously, why the hell did we? -

Welcome - love the 4D name!

I was going to post something similar from Frawley last year - went jogging behind an oppo player. When confronted with the video, I think he said something like "I thought I was sprinting - but I wasn't, can't explain it" Why the hell would an AA midfielder not shepherd?

sent this to the club C&B - quoting you For the attention of Peter Jackson Dear Peter You are rightly regarded by the fans as a hero of this club. You have rescued us from an inept administration whose damage to the club is far from healed. Today's on-field performance, sadly, reprises one of your themes "We've lost the trust of the members". I have no idea about the disease, or the cure - only that the patient is going to die quite quickly (= after the next TV rights deal, I suspect) unless matters improve. From one of the fan discussion groups: """ Today I have just been miserable. I have tried so hard to remain positive all year but the last 8 matches have been disgraceful overall and have chipped away at my resilience until I just broke today. It is getting extremely hard to see us ever turning around what seems to be an ingrained cloak of failure that surrounds us. I feel like I have been cheated in a way for all the misery this club has made me suffer. The game of Aussie Rules is supposed to be enjoyable, how can it be when you are asked to remain strong through torture after 9 years and no end in sight? I actually stormed out at half time cos I couldn't take it - the idea of doing that even a few years ago would have been laughable, but this is how much they have broken me down. I have been to 1 non-mfc game this year when in previous years I would go to 15 easily. This mob is killing me. I have read tonight a great deal of people talking about how today represents the last straw after long periods of unconditional support and inevitable disappointment, and I cannot blame anybody one little bit. """ We don't deserve what's being served up - and nor do you. I wonder how the club can respond to this situation. In times past, we would have sacked the coach (10 in 7 years). We clearly have an unsackable coach, and so we have to ask if our players are just not good enough, either because we picked duds and/or didn't develop the good ones. A bit of both I suspect. The situation out here is dire. I'll be there at Etihad in a fortnight, and I'll renew my membership, but it's getting pretty miserable. thanks again for all your great efforts frankie_d

He's having a shocker. AND he's injured. He might not have started the game with an injury Sigh
-
Jones clearly injured

I remember the Northey era. We were tough, we scraped for every win. The club stood for something. Who or what has done the damage?
-
Dawes limping

All over

Dear PJ ...
-
Tackles 5 to 15 their way. Disgusting
-
I am definitely writing to the club
-
I'm not a great believer in writing to the club'. I might change that view
-
Garlett into the center
-
Any chance of a clearance?
-
Over the last 8 years I have lost count of the number of times the opposition gets a quick break out of the center and goals within 30 seconds of the match starting. Ugh
-
Salem looks bigger

Haven't seen the team in the all red away jumper before... Looks alright
