Out: tapscott In: bail or macdonald/ anyone but bate
-
He just looks one step off it at the moment, I think there was 4-5 times where if he was in a step in the other direction he would have had the pill or been out in space! Having said that he doesnt have much help from the older mids at the moment besides jones so it is tough to be a kid, who is captain with the world of expectations and not much help through the middle. I'm no worried about him yet, still plenty of time and has shown good signs all be it not this year.

This is good, watts and Morton outside if there is a pack is idal as they cn dispose of the ball well usually ith good decision making skills. When it is their turn to get the hardball then the need to go, which I think they are becoming better at, but if you have all your midfielders in at the pack that's how you lose the disposal count by 250. Uncontested possession is important aswell

Nev Jetta - long term injury list
Mad_Melbourne replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would fit neelds mould perfectly. Pity he has been injured so often, probably means he will have to be delisted and then rookies or traded. I really like Jetta -
I said possibly, But it does depend on how you look at the game as who was not our best, but as I said he will be a jet once he gets everything sorted and it's just a bit of a change to his mental game, he is like a lot of quick players who come out of the junior ranks and only wants to run, I hope after another one or two pre seasons we have a Lewis Jetta on our hands
-
Maybe we just look at the game differently, All players will make mistakes but I think the one thing that is in players control is their ability to pressure opponents, his should be top notch with his foot speed and it isn't, I want to see him front and centre more often, but chasing tail out of our forward half. Not to mention his decision making was pretty poor in general. I really like blease don't get me wrong and I don't like bashing such a young player but he has all the attributes to be a complete player but sometimes I think he doesn't apply himself well enough, like some of our more senior players!
-
Sam blease today showed why he will be a good player, 3-4 times with his run and carry and disposal, showed numerous times why he is not up to it yet defensively, i just get annoyed as he won't put on defensive pressure. He was better than green, Moloney, jamar, garland but I don't think he played anywhere near as good as he can! Just needs more time and I bet they will show him a few of his poorer efforts when he should have been chasing or giving off the first option
-
No doubt he is going to be a player, when he can become team orientated, chase, give first option, and then show the dare and disposal we know he has when he is in space. At the moment he is all about the sam blease experience, I want him to be more the Melbourne experience featuring Sam blease
-
On today's performance, blease was possibly our worst
-
Nicho was average today, defensive pressure was good, spoiled on numerous occasions, I wish he could kick like blease because blease is the worst defensive player we have! Doesn't chase and doesn't Choose the right option hardly ever, when he does something good it's really good, but oly does one or two good things a game. Give me nicho over blease all day

Surely you would be used to the stupidity by now haha, if we lose Morton has to cop a spray from the supporters -
Vacancy for 2013 the number 10 jumper

Better than a lot, Morton's game was better than blease, the only problem with him is his mistakes are so obvious, he still gave it a decent crack and did some really good things! -

Blease needs to learn to be team orientated, pass the ball, handball, Shepard, when in space he can run, so annoying! Malthouse hates him too jamar is a good ruckman but can't defend, he doesn't get forward at all either, and if he does it is uselessly Tom McDonald absolute star, proved me wrong, but I still hate his disposal! Green is done and dusted Tapscott might have a few weeks off, but I doubt he will get suspended for anything he did -

1990 is ridiculous, someone who has been in the system 4 years as a young keeper is a joke and really players like cotchin etc shouldnt be allowed as a young keeper, if we make it 1990, it should be players lower than 150 or even 200, because how does that make it a fair competition! If it is 1990 I think it should just stick with the 4 keeper rule because that's how it would work anyway! -

Unintentional pot shot, exam revision and was frustrated! I definitely appreciate how you are running the league, and definitely know I couldn't do a better job, but through procrastination, and looking at people's lists this new keeper rule definitely has advantages for some and not so for others, with the 4 keeper rule I would have got to keep deledio, Franklin, Kennedy and Watson, now I get two of them, plus the leftovers of everyone else's 1991 players, Rhys Stanley is bloody born in december of 1990 haha! You wouldn't be too upset going into next season with Ryder, Judd, fyfe and shiels! Sorry for the whinge, I just has obvious draft choices that could have poised me well for this and next season as opposed to just this one -

Fwiw I definitely think youn keepers should be1992. Players from 1991 wil turn 21 this year so I feel he u/21 rule is the best for young keeper! what is the point of having players like Sidebottom, hannebury, walker, fyfe as young keepers when hey wold be genuine keepers anyway. I don't see the point in this young keeper rubbish, but like I said it doesn't phase me because the draft is what I look forward too most, it just means these league changes disadvantage people who did well enough in the draft to find 4 top notch keeper players, and my drafting technique would have been different as value of players is different. Players like crameri Who I took at 151 is less value than all of butcher, walker and darling yet when I picked him up he was and still is a legitimate keeper player, for example, but now excess to needs and changes my thinking. None of my players I have on my list fit the bill for this new rule as when the season tarted, it was not a rule! This says to me if we keep the keeper rule the only way to do it is based on the original 4 players, or the 2 players with 2 less than 100, this still means people can keep their young guns if they so choose as most of these players are outside the 100 anyway. Of course ja, you like this young keepers rule being at 1991, shiels and fyfe are two genuine keepers in the age group. -

Once people have announced who they intend on keeping does that leave the option open to someone like myself to assess the leftovers and then decide my stance? -

Either has no effect on me my two keeper players are Rhys Stanley and josh caddy, if it is moved to 1991 I just don't have Stanley as a keeper, what happens if you do not have the possibility of selecting 2 "young" keepers -
