  1. agree 100% was going to post similar- this game made me think we have improved over the last 3, opposition not withstanding. I liked that our radar was off but we didnt go into a funk. And our defense worked well.
  2. Brayshaw Oliver Gawn Fritch Viney Salem
  3. We are a fit team, very impressed with the running, i thought we had 2 more players. Apart from the kicking I loved how the defensive side of the game lifted substantially- feel good about next week.
  4. I am throwing stuff when he misses, I reckon he would be dark as well, if he kicked straight he'd be a 500k a year player. The few games he kicked straight he looked silk.
  5. We have plenty, ANB has played his role, good changes this week.
  6. Are you a fan, last thing he is, is weak, trained like a demon to make the most of limited skills, huge running effort, and you call him weak... fair dinkum NFI
  7. We have won the game, now time to kick the goals we should have done in the 1st 100min
  8. ANB has done his bit, everyone has played like it is soap tonight, ANB is best 22.
  9. My love for BF is huge, so many modern players would have tried to milk that high contact, he is just getting on with things, such a ball player.
  10. Max, finalllllllyyyyyyyy, was watching through fingers
  11. Trac doing team things tonight, but we are going to set the record for points, I'm tipping 15.30
  12. Agree re Frost and Garlett
  13. I have been wanting a OLED tv, is going to happen soon at this rate, Thanks Garlett and Jones for saving me
  14. Tha ball looks like it is covered in Vaseline- i like that they changed tack and started running it rather than kicking.
  15. IN: Frost, Garlett, Spargo, Stretch and maybe Keilty. OUT: Petracca, Petty, Hannan, Tyson, and maybe Lewis (all though I think 5 changes is the kiss of death) My love for Petracca is huge, but he is really annoying me ATM, he has the strength/will, but I don't think he is doing team things, it razzle dazzle or nothing, I want him to learn to clear a path for his colleagues that have a clue about finding the ball and not playing like a millionaire, not saying he's a lost cause or anything. Garlett is juts as likely if not more so to kick the goals we have been wanting Petracca to kick. I realize this is not a reward for effort but thats Jeffy. Petty straight swap for Frost, (maybe NQR but can run) Tyson, the guy is a ball magnet but (and I'll admit I was slow to come to this opinion) kills it too often, that OOBOTF in last qtr killed me. Stretch, this is his chance, has put the effort in at Casey, Tysons spot is his if he can make it and he can run better than Tyson. Spargo swap for Hannan, who is ok in the air but Bailey does a similar job, Hannan has spent his chips. Leave Weiderman in, I feel like he is just a moment away from kicking 5. Lewis: needs to get right for finals, he needs a rest/management - Darwin is not going to do him any favours. Keilty, just going on the Casey Reports. Now I know taking Petracca and Tyson, out we are removing beasts, but stretch/spargo/garlett and frost can all run. I would prefer a fit and focused Hunt. Wagner is too turnover prone (as is VDB), Pedders seems to have slowed this year, not keen on him as a replacement.
  16. 4 out 1 in... Anyone else wish we still had Garland as a backup, would have been a pretty useful swap for Lever.
  17. in effect, (what i think you're saying) Jones is > Vince and for team balance (Youth/Speed vs Experience/Hardness) go with Jones. I agree, Vince had lost some of his decision making ability, ( i think due to his struggle to keep up with speed of game). Has been a good servant and should not be denigrated by supporters, just given a large appreciation of thanks. I reckon Goodwin can tell his mate to let it go in answer to your question. I also think moving Jones definitively has an advantage, in that he is no longer 1st choice inside mid, and i think he has been looking a little lost about his role, we have so many beasts at the fall of the ball, we need to clear the space out and trust our young beasts to do their job. It looks too crowded for mine and moving Jones could be a win all round, and not devaluing him or disrespecting him, just a good natural progression as you have expressed.
  18. God I agree, and God/Yahweh/Jehovah/Deus/Allah/Hu/Krishna/Gaia, whatever she prefers - I hope so soon.
  19. Lewis remain a better kick most of the time, that makes up for speed, but we do need a few runners. Vince had qualities we need as well but together, hmmm there are decisions ahead. I am sad Salem/Hunt hasn't come on further, if anything his kicking isn't as much of a weapon I was hoping it would be. (he has a beautiful kick as well). I guess what I am saying is Running is critical but it's not the only thing - I believe the team is chasing the synergy of some younger faster players going better, to take advantage of the quarterback properties Lewis (and Vince) brings- yes they are slow, they were when they started, but they were not brought in for run but for setting up counter attacks (and in Vinces case some hardness).
  20. About to take off to GVA from Rome and miss the last quarter, am saying it now 4 goal win. Will be super stressed until i land. From what i can see we are gut running and gang tackling attitude is right, i think we'll wear out Port.
  21. I find Bob like a TV version of Martin Flanagan. Felt like he is exploring the role of interviewer will get better and Nick taking the pi$$ out of him was funny on 360. However I really enjoy his endeavour in trying to find a different perspective, there is so much crap from people like Purple and Hutchinson and Footy show types that this is a much needed breath of fresh air. The Nat Fyfe outtake for next week makes me think the interview will be a ripper. The tea thing felt a bit contrived For me he gets a bit tick for his idolization of Flowers as 'the patron saint of skinny players'. Anyone with that love for Robbie, well that is a pretty fair start.
  22. I am thoroughly in favour of the site: a, i would be shameless in promoting the indigenous links afl has to the local community and put our players men and women at the front of it. this use is consistent with what the area was and has been used for ever. b, mention that you are converting a car park to an oval c, emphasize how often the oval will be available to the public. versus it's use as a carpark. d, incorporate a water conservation strategy into the proposal, also maybe a zero emmission strategy - how Melbourne is looking to reduce its energy footprint, linkbit to preserving the snow at Buller... but seriously a little effort in that regard to try and bring the greens into the conversation rather than treating them as the enemy. that way if they take a mindless nimby approach they can be called out for it. e, be smart about lighting, come up with a plan that doesn't pi$$ off the neighbours f, pedestrian access, focus on access to site that doesn't pi$$ off the neighbours, so they dont get scared by demonlanders loitering doing training reports. g, offer the neighbours on the closest street the use of the gym and some game tickets etc even get Hunt carry the old biddy's shopping home. h, speak to local councils about youth unemployment, see if something can incorporate some training for local youth on landscaping and other activities associated with developing the site. Really want this project-if enough community consultation is done we can get over the nimby factor
  23. We play like we did this year and I'm on board with that. Darwin however is a seriously tough climate for elite sport, as a one off you can do it, but don't expect to feel chipper for a few days after. @don't make me angryI wonder if the sports scientists could explain further, when I've been in the tropics, playing beach ultimate tournaments, regardless of what the BoM details are, I find it much more draining, Like some sort of lethargy creeps in.
