  1. Not potting you, just genuinely curious, what didn't you rate about Viney, happy to hear another POV?
  2. Out <> In B.Brown <> either JVR/Daw Hibberd <> Hunt May <> Tomlinson (M.Brown for Petty, and Tomlinson stays - he is probably not ready to be the FB either to be fair, is a lot expecting him to be like for like with May) Positions: Pickett on the ball for 10 min each quarter, he is a great disruptor in the center Petty up forward (only if fit) could he replace Tmac as the Swingman On Notice: Sparrow (Bedford has done enough to have a go, alt ) / Bowey (he has dropped a little I would take a fit Rivers over him at the moment especially after the Casey game) Chandler as an alt to Bedford as well.
  3. So I play Ultimate Disc (old geezer on the right) here in Khartoum (40 degrees, the 3kg instant weight loss is fun), far left is an Essendon supporter, turns up for his first game with us, and his very first comment was a shot at the Dees, my first comment was, first time in a while you haven't lost on the weekend hey? Put him on the opposite team for a bit of fun (15 years older than him).
  4. 6 Gawn, has a Ruckman ever had more contested possessions, played his heart out. 5 Viney, brilliant game. 4 Brayshaw, reliable has not lost an ounce of courage. 3 Oliver, did a power of work in defense. 2 Jordon, smooth moves, looked assured. 1 ANB, one clanger but a lot of good work too, improved out of sight on his couple of down games. Petty - Brave heart award
  5. That hurt, too many goals from dubious decisions, Swans played well though took the game on. I thought Viney, ANB, Max and Kozzie had great games. Kozzie to the middle we look better when he is on ball. We lost it though apart from the umps, in the air. M. Brown stays.
  6. Was going to say the same, NQR since. Would love Naughton in our team though, he is what i thought Weid was going to be.
  7. Sounds right, South Australia as a 10y.o. Vic for the State of Origin truly scared me though. Really felt like i would be punched by an adult. But in Vic, Essendon fans are the worst though, I respect those who give respect, so I am tolerant of some Bombers fans, but unlike everyone else i meet in life, Bombers fans start with a negative assessment. I do quite like Herbatron though, for an Essendon supporter he gives hours of enjoyment, here is his greatest work…
  8. I know, MFCSS has morphed into paranoia.
  9. Just to be clear, he tipped Melbourne and said we would make a statement. He mentioned we have a few holes and our pressure has dropped from 2021. Nothing unreasonable, I don't think fawning would add much to the conversation. And I think he gets plenty of feedback on Twitter, I plan to give him some there too when he makes booboos. Personally thought Joey's observations about ANB and Petracca was interesting, and tbh, wish he hadn't (-;
  10. Hunt has some credits, and obviously FB is not his role, but I too would prefer Hibberd. Hunt needs a good game this week or else give Hibberd a go, he is a good negating defender as well.
  11. Well we found out how deep our depth isn't... And then; Putain, Bâtard, Merde, Enfoiré, Liverpool goes and mucks it up... With me in the middle of Abyei, Sudan, with a sat phone trying to find out scores, expensive and unpleasant. I still believe though 100%
  12. No clue, probably a CIS gender thing 😂
  13. For sure enforcers @Narrm IMHO: 1, Viney Maybe not daylight, but a daylight savings morning...(I have a massive man crush on the bloke it must be said) 2, May 3, Salem Would agree Melksham could come in at 4, But would have Gus there as well perhaps? Your thoughts?
  14. Round 23, 2021 says hello!
  15. Must be a typo, you meant Viney didn't you?
  16. I always though the Roos were just dying a really slow death ever since https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/star-reveals-crushing-impact-of-wayne-careys-affair-with-teammates-wife/news-story/0a238c161f70771805724621dceae07d There is a miasma over them that has never really gone away. Anyway I am tipping the Wayne Carey curse will take Jason Horne-Francis unless they do something pretty quickly, a'la Two Aces
  17. Brother saw him a couple of weeks ago was definitely hobbling, but by all reports in ripping nick otherwise, rumours of his demise are premature.
  18. Which is stronger? Adore or Love? For me he is like rain to a farmer after a 10 year drought.
  19. I listened to First Crack, and Joey (who i generally enjoy) was banging on about too much winning. Last year he was saying how unlikely it is to win the premiership as minor premiers. My first thought was 'has he learnt nothing'? Tonight he was repeating himself. I was wondering if he even believed what he was saying. To be fair, his comments have been settled opinion for the last century; about being able to maintain form across an entire season and the need to time a finals campaign; but that paradigm is no longer when you talk about the Narrm FC. The way we are playing now defies previous norms, and I'm wondering who is going to recognize it first in the media. King (who alternates between praise and drive-bys) mentioned we are the best at this stage of the season in a decade on a number of metrics. I mean seriously we (the Coaching team) have revolutionized the game (much like Flash did with forward defensive pressure or Polly with his handball), we are historically 'best practice' for what we do defensively, and after the losses Fremantle/Brisbane and the Saints have had, it is clear that in 2022 they will not be where we are at without ball in hand. Next season I see no reason why they will not be there as well. People need to understand History is being made, we are lucky enough to be part of it. We might lose, but it won't be by getting ahead of ourselves, and we might just go through the season undefeated. As @Titan_Uranus said '10-0 with a percentage of 161%, two games clear of second, three games and 35% clear of fourth, and with just one side within 35% of us.' The only professional team in the world doing better than us right now is the Harlem Globe Trotters, we've even put the All Blacks in the shade. So to those wobbling that we are not kicking cricket scores, chill: ...will admit I wouldn't mind the occasional cricket score, but will take what we have for a month of Sundays
  20. Had busted ribs, would rather play with a dodgy knee, is the worst. I prefer he doesn't rush back, a few bumps could really knock his confidence.
  21. Viney > Dunstan Salem > Melksham (really not happy with his effort) Even half Salem is double Melks. Bedford (think another run to give him a proper chance > Langdon (praying no broken ribs, if ok no change) Leave Gus where he is please. Wouldn't mind if someone else got a gig that match committee think is worth a run if Salem not right.
  22. 6 Clayton Oliver 5 Christian Petracca 4 Tom Sparrow 3 Jake Lever 2 Steven May 1 Tmac a question to @Demonland, when you announce tallies does that mean votes are done for the round?
  23. Essential finals player , good call.
  24. *sigh*, am sucking it up and trusting the footy dept. I can only think they are looking for better inside 50 connection, which he can do, but his lack of defensive pressure drives me spare.
