  1. I agree Robbie at least in the seventies we thought we had a chance against half the competition and we had a few good players to watch. Mentally I gave up two weeks ago and Physically yesterday was it. There are way better ways to spend your weekends.
  2. Oh please all get over it. We will have a white clash jumper for at least the next few years. We are struggling to survive in the competition with a pityful list and debt mounting again. Lets get the team winning and making money then in about 2020 lets worry about the bloody clash strip.
  3. Redleg we are pretty much irrelevant to the competition at present so we are given the irrelevant time slots. This game will struggle to get 50 000 viewers on Foxtel Not sure why you are surprised
  4. I live for the day we are as bad as Essendon
  5. It is in the area of use the ball well. IMO the vast majority of players with poor disposal skills never become great. If you pick players that are poor kicks the majority stay that way.
  6. That is my whole argument Roost it they don't produce the results. Richmond do and that is why they will finish (in your words ) ninth and we will be 17th
  7. I would only take six of that group the rest are either average or are too young to know.Mate they are not that good
  8. Are we pure in this area jr?
  9. Obviously Roost it we are not going to agree on this. I would agree our lack of a mid field is our major problem. But in my view we have a large number of players with below AFL standard skills. That means IMO we need way more than three or four quality players.
  10. I should have guessed that from your avatar
  11. Just drop the last line jr He who is without blame cast the first stone
  12. Rusty that says it all and confirms for me that we have a poor list. i.e. most of our team do not have the required skill level necessary to be good AFL players
  13. Of that lot the"Partridge in a Pear Tree" is you best chance
  14. I agree Chook however In Rivers we have someone who has now played under five different coaches. I think his opinion would give some insight.
  15. Firstly did you notice this in the first line "from Sundays team" Clark, Trengove, Grimes and Blease are not out there to start with, after 2011 and 2012 Dawes has yet to show he is any more than an average player in a very good team. Frawley is an average defender, Mcdonald could not hit the side of a barn with a howitzer and Gawn is half a dozen games into his career. We have lost five out of six games by an average of 13 goals and we are seldom in a game by the end of the first quarter. These are not the signs of a wonderful playing list. If we have such a good list how come we have won 5 of the last 28 games and have beaten only one side above us on the ladder?
  16. Having the required ability probably gives you all the poise and balance you will ever need. If you don't have the talent you usually know and no amount of experience will change that IMO
  17. Don't think so Clint I was just giving you another slant. As I said I have no idea how good Neeld is because we have a crap list. I have not said so far that he is a crap coach but he does worry me with some of comments. The simple fact is no coach would survive after two years of this teams performances.
  18. There are a few others PJ from Sundays team Howe, Garland and Sylvia I am confident would be in the 22 in other teams tomorrow. After that you start to struggle. Bloody sad
  19. Fifty years ago Clint my coach told me "never turn your back on the play" It is still as true today as it was fifty years ago
  20. Oh please satriconhome lighten up we all know we have a crap side a little humour helps the pain.
  21. Clint as I see it Daniher had some fairly talented players i.e he had a good side with some deficiencies. We saw Daniher achieve some good success with his team. I have no idea if Neeld is a good coach or not because he has a very poor group of players. We honestly have five to six players who would make it onto the list of the top half a dozen sides. Honestly this is the lowest talent group I can remember at the MFC. JC could not get this lot up and yet they are paid the same as Geelong and Hawthorn go figure.
  22. I agree Redleg we are. It is probably the best spot for us as we are on our knees in a playing team sense. It is going to take a mighty effort over the next three to four years to get us out of the bottom four. IMO only the help of the AFL will achieve that.
  23. I think the guy is a good half forward. But why don't we let the kid enjoy his couple of weeks rest. He probably deserves it right now.
  24. WJ I think you may have over dosed on Bananas at lunch mate.Easy you can have too much of a good thing!
