  1. I don't know how often this gets thrown up and there is no basis for the statement. First we have not exactly had a great team in the time we have been playing games in Darwin The Dees have found it hard to win two games in a row playing anywhere. Second Good teams win no matter where they play. The WCE and Brisbane travel every other week. When they have had good sides they win numerous games on the trott in any city. When they have poor teams guess what they lose regularly. Brisbane managed to win after travel and in and out of humid condtions in QLD. "its virtually impossible to win the following week". What a load of rubbish!
  2. Spot on Jose. We are in total agreement
  3. Well he won't be going to the Rio Games at the AFL expense like someone else did.
  4. We might have less of 36 players in the one half if they cannot go off for a rest every 5 minutes. We might have less of that crap of immediately taking off a player when he kicks a goal. We might have ruckman resting in the forward line instead of going off. We might have less of a rolling maul. Sounds like football a few years ago before this 100+ rotations crap started. I look forward to it.
  5. Won't be with the dees in 2014 is my prediction
  6. Yes wyl I remember a certain CEO of the AFL before Vlad gushing about how money could be made at 20 000 And remember the movable seats wonder where they went. The AFL was sold a pup from day 1 It will probably need replacing by the time they take ownership
  7. Yes rpfc a plausible theory. But not one I subscribe to. I think it was a race between him and little Gil and he lost. That simple, now the TI might have added a bit but IMO he would have lost anyway.
  8. Not sure that is accurate mjt Tickles my fancy Some days on here we can use all the comedy we can get Good or bad
  9. $400 00 would be about 8 times more than we make on average in Melbourne. We probably pay the dome of death when we have a home game there. I would play 4 games in the NT at 400k a game = $2million PA Bring it on MFC
  10. That may be true but I reckon he thought he was
  11. RR I think you are reading too much into that. Him leaving was all about him not being the heir apparent. I believe the Tanking inquisition had very little if anything to do with it. It is just a handy excuse for us Dees fans.
  12. My question cfh is "how much effort has been put into acquiring them"?
  13. The only thing it signals to me wyl is that we have done a poor job on the NT trips. This is one area that IMO the MFC is stuck in the 1980's It needs a big increase in effort. By the way "China" must be dead nothing heard in 2 years usually means it is no more.
  14. I have been to Darwin a few times mostly in the June - August period. weather is similar to Bali most of the year. But in those winter ( dry ) months it is great. 18-19 min. to 28 - 30 Max. and no humidity just great in my opinion. Darwin is good for 3 - 4 days as a tourist and further a field to Litchfield and Kakadu are very good National parks. Easy to spend a week up there. If you book ahead you can get lower airfares. The thing that astounds me is that one of our major sponsors is Webjet Why on earth is there not Charter / special deals organised by the Club to visit. 500 members from Vic up there for the game would surely be a big boost to the team. So far the MFC have been IMO total failures in this area. I am happy to keep playing in the NT, $700 000 a game is just what we need. But come on MFC / Webjet lift your game
  15. There is not much to talk about with DB Monoccular No Games, No Goals, no kicks , no hand passes, no marks, pretty much nothing. I am amazed it lasted as long as it did
  16. Rather talk to you here longsuffering Tweeting is BS in my view. Probably too old to get it. Life has taught me that occasionalyl things don't suit you. Most of the 21st century suits me fine. I have already moved on. Why is it that ever year February is the best time of the year for tragic's I live in hope that one year September will be the best time of the year. 2014 perhaps
  17. Read back a couple of pages there are a few on Demonland who seem to think it is a walk in the park. Tough gig
