I understand all that bb I just thought I would give them a chance as they were the New MFC major sponsor. They are not even close to where I live. I have done the right thing by the MFC but AHG don't measure up. Life goes on.

Yep $3000 will be in my pocket you can bet on that. Are you sure? I am not suggesting we go looking for second rate companies but we are usually desperate and MAY take whatever is available. That MAY mean we get less than the top. e.g. "Energy watch"

I am a salesman bb so I know every trick going. However that in fact may occasionally put me in the wrong situation when I am the customer. I tend to go a little easy on them. However If I think I am not being taken seriously I walk fairly quickly. Anyway just interested in peoples opinions as IMO I have had ordinary contact with the majority of MFC sponsors that I have contacted over the years. I usually end up somewhere else spending my money.

Machsy they have normal auto Dealerships on a number of makes across Australia. Particularly Melbourne in our case. Ford, Holden, Nissan, Toyota, Alfa, Jeep etc. You may have one in your surburb

Basically I am agreeing with you. My question is do we get ordinary Sponsors who seldom stay long because we are low level AFL club?

I dropped the MFC membership early in the first conversation. Perhaps that pushed the price up. The sales person probably supports Collingwood. It was not just the price And why should I bb? The other dealers are giving me a cheaper price without any push from me. My gut feel was that the sales person did not see me as a potential customer. But the others did. Do you think we get second rate companies sponsoring the MFC?

I don't think I asked that question Machsy I am happy to have their money as well. My experience over the years in dealing with our sponsors has been Poor. And I am wondering if the only Major ones we can get are at the poor end of the scale.

With limit success I have to report unfortunately. My major success was iPrimus. The not so goods were mostly either too costly compared to their competitors or simply appeared poor from my contacts. e.g. I bought Kaspersky virus protection and it did not want to download properly onto my computer. I contacted them and was told " oh we get a bit of that do you want your money back" . Fairly quick resolution but I have often wondered why they did not try and fix the problem. A couple of weeks ago I started looking for a new Car so I checked out the AHG dealerships. I have been to the brand dealer I am interested in and so far the experience has been ordinary. Not exactly rushed off my feet and their price is approx. $3000 more than a couple of other quotes I have had for the exact same car. Doubt I will be buying from AHG at this rate. I have a theory that because the MFC are not a "sort after Club" we end up with sponsors that are a fair way below the large successful companies. Do we get the also-rans and subsequently get the same level of service? Or am I just unlucky?

Good luck to him. I heard him interviewed on SEN last week. Came over well to me. No spray for the MFC etc.

I have only one team that I bear a genuine grudge and the is the Crows. Cannot abide them. The rest I dislike on game day but after that I like them to varying degrees.

Is it just me or is this whole Essendon thing sapping your enthusiasm for AFL level football in general? With every passing day a little bit more gets chipped off me. Once not so long ago I was an enthusiastic follower of most teams and games over the season. Now I take notice of most things MFC and then little of everything else.

From what was said on SEN, The AFL have to hold an appeal by there appeals tribunal.

Yep I agree rpfc It is reducing my enthusiasm for the game and I am an addict!
