  1. Very if it was true jazza Never made it to University not enough money in the family. Amazingly you could produce a fairly good life style without a degree back then. Not so know. I wonder how it will be affordable in the near future.
  2. Still average IMO, would struggle to make it onto any other AFL list.
  3. Must be getting close bb?I reckon around early July bb and WJ?
  4. She quit the Dees in the eighties at height of one of our down periods. Got tired of losing sue. Her mates supported Essendon who were winning flags at the time. Until two years ago I would say she made the right decision. She has had way more fun than if she had stuck with her father. You try and teach your children to think for themselves and make their own decisions. Trouble is sometimes they don't agree with you.
  5. My daughter is one of the fans you mention WJ. If the EFC folded she would be lost to the AFL. If infraction notices are issued and a large number of players suspend it will probably end her enthusiasm any way. She said to me Yesterday " dad I have stopped watching Essendon as it is too painful I think we are gone and they deserve it"
  6. Oh No Just as well you are there today after the budget tonight there will probably be no dinner at all on Wednesday.
  7. Talking of Red and Blue The Crystal palace FC in England has Red and Blue colours ( blue is more a royal blue ) have as their captain an Australian player He is now the Captain of The Australian Team The only down side is they are the Eagles.
  8. I agree bbThe rest is just self delusion. We have been crap for so long and want so to improve we see things as we should have won that. No we should not have the Dogs played better and won. Simple really they were better than us on Saturday night and got the four points.
  9. At the end of this year we have to jettison five players. We cannot keep them all. some of these " he is only 23 why fling him now" players have got to go. Who is it going to be remembering who is out of contract? A few are hanging by a thread IMO
  10. I think we are getting the cart before the horse here. Lets see how 2015 pans out before we worry about trading him off to Freo. I hope he get well and plays for the dees for the next ten years
  11. Forget the Friends crap.Their livelihoods depend on results there will be no sweet heart deals if it comes to trading.
  12. There will be a increasing degree of this over the next ten years.the talent pool is stretched too far so the talented players will use this to their advantage. The other side of course is that clubs replace players much more now with reduced care for the individual. It cuts both ways.
  13. The simple fact is Sassy that the players union wants free agency. They have a limited version now but are pushing for an early arrival time.Their ultimate goal if total free agency. They will get it eventually over the next decade. We are now in the early stages. Prepare your self for the day when loyalty from either side means little. the AFL world of the next decade will be far different from the one most of us grew up with.
  14. one mans feast is another mans famine bb.Good for a monday night having a glass right now. hits the spot!
  15. How does a St Hallett Gamekeepers Shiraz sound?
  16. Sassy see my comment to SS above. You need to get a grip on the 21st century AFL. If he goes he goes I am over worrying about these things
  17. Get over it SS.This the AFL world of the 21st century and it will only get worse. Learn to live with it or you will go insane.
  18. I see a Mr. C. Schwab has applied for the AFL Players association CEO position. That would be interesting. I would have thought that the chances of him getting another AFL gig were very low. Just might prove he has more lives than your average cat.
  19. Your lucky to have the problem Reverend!
