Was not what I would call a big win. A good one. I know big wins are less likely in this shortened game era but you would never approach a game expecting a big win from the dees because they are so rare. This week we should win easy but most supporters will not be surprised if we lose.

I seriously doubt we have the personel for a big win against any team. WB. And it is not helped by an average FD.

This is perfect round to rest him. There is never going to be a better round when we should be able win without him.

Makes a lot of sense but that seldom seems to be part of the selection criteria at the MFC.

Pity we don't have another dozen to match him.

When we have so many games in a reduced time period why would you risk him against the Crows?

Also explains why we get so few FTA games. We really are the perfect example of a team to fill in the numbers. Every non MFC supporter knows we are no danger to there finals ambitions.

While I don’t disagree with your basic premise Pates are you sure the playing group has the ability. For most of the last four years we have been able to match it with the bottom half of competition but are sadly lacking against the better sides. While I have zero confidence in our FD I also wonder about our list being as good as we assume. perhaps we are just a bottom six side coached by average talents.

Does it matter who we pick, the problems are deeper than 2 or 3 player changes.

Just finished watching the game. Gus was let down by 4 terrible kicks if two came off there was no hawthorn player around and two goals would have been added to the score line. Has to get his kicking going.
