  1. Goodwins contract is said to be $750k PA. Mahoneys is probably multi 6 figures. Let’s be conservative and say collectively they are being paid $1million PA. So $2 miillion for the next two years if they are sacked early I.e. next month. The AFL has made a number of comments about them not helping to pay sacked coaches salaries. So the $2 million falls to the MFC we are too small and have too little resources to cover that pay out as well as pay a replacement that at the least would cost Another $500k PA. And $300k for the Mahoney replacement. Conservatively the cost to the MFC To sack both would be $3.6 million Over the next two years and as high as $2.8 million in 2021. It simply is not going to happen this year.
  2. That might be the general sentiment picket but the MFC Simply cannot afford to drop him , as well it would look bad for the Chairman and the board if they sacked him one year into a three year deal that they signed off on before the start of 2019. He will be there in 2021.
  3. Agree 100% LH. The football world seems to be up in air at the moment as far as nearly everything concerning 2021. The AFL cannot even tell us how long the length of a game will be, seems they are all living it up around the pool it QLD so that leaves little time for running the game. Seriously though the news is deafening on 2021. Seems to me that it will be another year made up on the run. Most games this year seem to have gone to a new low, the thing that IMO made Aussie rules was the scoring, the game now seems to be just a scramble between both teams half forward lines. Article in the HUN today say Tom Hawkins is set to win the Colman medal with 40 goals, the lowest total since WW1. Back to the main problem what is the MFC going to offer to members in 2021 as compensation? The club seems to just hoping things will go back to some sort of normal next year.
  4. I am not taking the bait!
  5. Top rh only so that means all four probably from our FD.
  6. Sadly there are thousands who don’t see it the way we do, if we cannot attend games next year I will be surprised if there is not a big drop in member numbers and it will affect clubs like the MFC More than the Collingwoods of the competition. Something needs to be added to memberships to sweeten the pie.
  7. Sunday is MFC email day Mr Shadow I will I include that in my email.
  8. I am far from confident as well, most club members have accepted this year as the vast majority had bought their memberships Before the disaster that is the virus was on the horizon. If the AFL thinks that people will do the same next year if they still cannot attend games then I think they are sadly mistaken. This is a danger problem for the MFC who have a history of people buying memberships after the season has commenced I.e. the early rounds. Now If there is no chance of going to the G In 2021 after no finals this year I can see a big drop in membership next year. Now the rusted on idiots like myself will probably give their money for bugger all return ( we are used to the problem) But the others will not IMO unless there is a sweetener for their money.
  9. Let me explain again I was suggesting it as compensation for not being able to attend games. Give free streaming to MFC members on only those MFC games that are not FTA.
  10. All I want is to see MFC games that are not FTA. Nothing else.
  11. Also at this point who knows what the 2021 season will look like, will there be matches in Melbourne? What are the list sizes, what is actually happening with Casey? if as I suspect there will at best be matches in Melbourne but no public in attendance I would like members to have access to non FTA games by streaming as part of our membership.
  12. Four weeks from this weekend is when you have to notify if you want to not continue your membership. They have four weeks to advise if they are going to do a review. I don’t expect it to be done by then.
  13. Re your last comment above I think there is little to no chance that they will not be at the club in 2021. Financially we cannot afford to move them.
  14. I am a std member and only got one email. However if we don’t make the finals which looks to be the case I am waiting for the chairman to honour The promise of an external review of all areas of the club. I will accept just a review of the FD but it must be an external review. If this is not forthcoming I will then seriously consider my future membership. They have approx. four weeks from the game this weekend to prove to me that they are not all talk.
  15. Who knows these days Cards, they used to be Thursday evening but it seems it is only the night before the game so for our game tomorrow but don’t be surprised if it is in ten minutes time.
  16. Spot on bing. Wether we finish 8th or 9th that accurately reflects our list talent level.
  17. Exactly Ernest and it is not as thought this is new to us.
  18. Agree for better or worse I can see no one that did not play last week who is better than the team that played on Saturday. Of course there may be a injury or two that need replacing.
  19. Let's hope Hogan has a great day
  20. The local 7/11!
  21. Do we have a choice?
  22. Amazing day there is a reason beyond the weather but I cannot remember what it is.

Well you learn something new every day FT.
  24. Sorry to be negative but that does not say a lot considering the crap that has been delivered most games. Not sure why but the average level of games has been way down on last year which was not exactly great.
