Not sure that Eddie is on the wrong path. The Pies just made 3.8 million profit They will probably have 80 000 members next year. They will win the GF or will go very close. They will give us a licking in 2012 So far in that story I cannot find too much wrong in what eddie is doing as President. WE should be doing that badly.

I read it as Casey losing there ability to play at a high level in the competition. They are on the way to being the MFC seconds. Sad for Casey. IS KC out there ? What do you think?

That will be a slaughter WJ. We have been thrashed at willy when Casey were trying to be a power. As a MFC seconds team we will have no hope. It will be Skinny kids playing a team full of tough experienced players.

DC if they morf into the MFC seconds that will never happen. Experience of recent years shows the vast majority of "seconds" teams struggle to win games. The stand alone clubs will dominate the competition. The "seconds teams" do not have the number 1 objective of winning the flag. Their major desire is to develop skinny 18 year olds. If they morf into the MFC seconds the only reason to watch Casey is to see how the skinny kids play. IMO it will not be about playing in September.

Low but true. Until we get as financial as the Pies ( probably never ) then we will always have to grovel to the AFL. They say jump and we say how high. We should never forget that we need the AFL far more than they need the MFC. If the dees folded tomorrow the AFL would go on with hardly a blink. In fact they could transfer the players to GWS just like Fitzroy and Brisbane. That is the world we live in. IMO Eddie is right we can be raped and only Dees supporters are hurt. No one else gives a stuff.

I agree with you BB However there has not been a lot of the alternative So I can understand why some people are a bit restrained. We have heard it all before, on double figure occasions. I will wait till june 2012 before I get too excited. I have had my expectations raised too often in numerous pre seasons.

I was prepared to believe young TS all through last season However the events of the last couple of months seem to suggest to me that the Scully family had a plan from draft day 2009. He would go to the highest bidder at the end of 2011. That just happened to be GWS. If GWS had not existed then it would have been whoever had the biggest cheque book. The sad part for the MFC is we got dudded and wasted a no.1 pick. There is no other way to describe it. I feel wounded, my faith in my fellow humans has been shaken.

As long as they are not skinny 17 year olds that cannot play till 2015 I will be happy.

Congratulations Deeoldfart. Looks like you might have better luck than me. I am working on it but Mother is a Bombers fan, father and grandmother Pies. Unless we start winning the majority of games I have no hope. Kids go for winners that 's why her mother left the Dees for the Bombers.

Just had the most enjoyable 24 hours for some time. Babysitting my 10 month old grand daughter. What a treat right now she is running a long way in front of the MFC. But tomorrow is another day

In the end it is not him and the coaching panel that runs out on match day. I will keep my opinion on him till at least June however we have the same basic cattle as last year so I am not expecting a hugh improvement. Just no more 31 goal losses please and few less 10 goals losses would be good.
