If I followed Richmond I too would drink myself senseless to numb the pain. They are just a small minority of ****heads and I'm sure they cop it week in, week out from fans of other clubs. Our club's on the verge of greatness. Their best player (Cousins) is past his use by date. GO DEES!

Thinking further ahead; another 25 touches for Scully wouldn't hurt his chances for the rising star award.
-
Moloney MUST play. Without trying to get too carried away; if we where to knock off the hawks, it would be the biggest thing to happen for the MFC in a long time.

When did miller kick 10?
-
Cale Morton is about as raw as the steak i had for dinner. Which was bloody as hell by the way... He can run and kick a footy, which goes a long way when aiming to be an elite AFL player. Howvever at the moment a player such as Joel MacDonald is in better form. Better player? That's to be decided. Cale has time on his side to become a regular in the side. Though considering being picked up at no. 4, it's hard to not expect more.

David Neitz is the greatest in my eyes.

Top 7 ‘Surprise Packets’ of the AFL Season so far
Juicebox replied to half back's topic in Melbourne Demons
Before coming into the AFL J Pod had kicked X amount of goals in the VFL and has been a bonafide full forward for about a decade. Hardly surprised to see him kicking goals with a Geelong midfield sending his way. Great story? yes. Surprised? no. I think Melbourne as a team has surprised a lot of people. Hard to single out too many individuals. -
From memory J.Brown didn't exactly dominant in his first 10-20 games. I could be wrong and I can't be stoooofed looking up stats do back myself up. J.W's Disposal by foot and even by hand for that matter has been very attractive. And I know there has been X amount of threads and posts on him, but with his potential the discussion is inevitable.

I guess it could work as a psychological advantage if we finish between 8-12 rather than 12-16. Finishing that little bit closer to the 8 may bring a certain optimism that the club appears to lack, and heading into the 2011 season they'll consider themselves a more serious contender for a spot in the finals. I could be wrong and whereabouts we finish on the ladder could in fact be meaningless to some degree. We do have one of the "sexiest" lists out of all the other sides in the bottom 8 and that alone should breed confidence and finals appearances in the not too distant future.

Excuse the mistake. But you knew what I was talking about.
-
Slightly off topic but Riewoldt has just kicked his 9th! My goodness has he found some form! A win next week over in Adelaide would probably, almost, maybe, possibly, just about put this conversation to bed. Would most definitely need to be at our best to get up in that one though, Adelaide will look it as a real chance pick up the 4 points.

Looks like the tigers are gunna get up by 12+ goals. The question must be asked; have our chances of winning back to back to back spoons come alive? I'm probably getting carried away, but they have something we don't. A tall forward that can kick goals (Riewoldt).

Absolutely woeful! You do not drop games at home, against teams like West Coast. They where all over us like a dirty rash. PJ deserves the criticism he gets on this site. And how many times did Grimes cough it up today??
-
Couldn't agree more.
-
I don't think Grimes was the only person at the MFC to learn about footy in the wet from their mistakes. The decision to play Paul Johnson was very questionable. Sure we need a bitta height down forward; but for the big man to come and play his first game of the year in the rain... Doesn't matter who you are, when it's wet the ball is like a cake of soap. Tall forwards will generally struggle in the conditions.

Mate it's just a colour. If commentators and others wanna slag us off for wearing it, shame on them. I judge the toughness and courage of a Melbourne player by whether or not they stick their head over the pill and go hard at every contest.
-
Firstly I will admit; I did have my doubts about Joel MacDonald. But after the past 3 rounds I have liked his game a lot. On Sunday, seeing him run back with the flight of the ball and launch himself straight into a leading Jack Riewoldt was one of my highlights. Hope he continues to impress and get a game. Wish him all the best Saturday night against his old mob!
-
Is it fair to say that in that the space of only 3 rounds we have seen the very best and worst Melbourne has to offer? Melbourne at their best - 7 - 10 goals better than Richmond Melbourne at their worst - Could very easily get rolled by a VFL side!
-
Luke Molan and Nick Smith woulda had nice long careers if they where used as 'decoys'...
-
Just thinking back to that praccy match earlier in the year... Those S.A radio commentators can suck on that!!!
-
Caaaaarn DEEEES!!!!!!!!
-
Geez went about 30 mins without a goal!
-
Any injury concerns for the dees?
-
Who's playing well for us?
-
1.7 nearly 20 mins into 2nd quarter isn't very flattering...
