  1. I'm certain all my fans will be relieved to hear that good old Uncle Bitter has returned safely from his journey of enlightenment in Siam. I am not unscathed , however, as I have brought with me an unwanted souvenir in the form of some sort of Bangkok bug. In fact, I have just had the manorial staff place my sick bed in front of the big screen in order to view the game. And big it is ! While the four points may not matter so much, it is an opportunity to enter to the big time with impetus and commence our finals campaign on a high. I am confident this is our year and this afternoon we shall demonstrate that fact. Apart from victory, my main point of interest will be the return of Mr. Fritta. His game time maybe somewhat foreshortened but he needs to get get some clean touches and ... hopefully ... snag one or two. He is crucial to us claiming the Cup! Dees by 17.
  2. I cannot remember a season of footy that threw up so many unexpected (bizarre?) results as this one.
  3. As a coach … maybe. You certainly wouldn’t employ him as club dietitian!
  4. This is terrible and sad news. The club can be proud that it gave the little bloke some wonderful moments
  5. Thanks for that Supreme D. A decent tall - he may well come into our considerations!
  6. I don't follow junior footy Supreme D so can you tell me how good/promising the tall kid , Ollie Murphy, is?
  7. I listened to Mitchell's post game presser - articulate bloke ,clever coach. He praised Max as a "generational ruckman" but , in what I considered a very interesting comment, he said that Rivers has been "underrated" across the competition.
  8. SWYL ‘ s “excessive “ is even more so od !
  9. Just arrived at the sports bar to meet SWYL and watch the dees win by 47! Sir WYL maybe a tad late - his behaviours last night were …… excessive.
  10. I came to Thailand for spiritual enlightenment and I must say my stay in Bangkok has been wonderfully ..... err .... uplifting. I have consulted my guru ( not Bob ) and I have been assured that the Demons will win today's encounter with the Dorks by 46 points.
  11. Not sure about this Dub. We want him prime for the finals , so if declared fit, I reckon we’ll play him in the real stuff
  12. Haven't heard from @picket fence of late. Is there any truth to the rumour that he's been in a state of euphoric intoxication since Clarrie's return was announced ?
  13. See my post above loges - I believe a comeback is in the wind.
  14. He was declared persona non grata , however, I believe a miracoulous and phoenix like resurrection maybe underway!
  15. That seems to be a dangerous undertaking Deelightful ! As you well know cheer squads are notorious for the nut jobs among them.
  16. I shall be watching today's game at Fitzgerald's Sports Bar in Nana in the company of defrocked and disgraced Demonlander SWYL. We shall get outrageously drunk while celebrating both Clarrie's return and giving the blue baggers ( who, according to some local supporters, are apparently 2023 premiers) a dose of reality. PS. A cultural observation. A lot of the sheilas around here have very husky voices - something in the spicy food, I suppose.
  17. I read this this morning What an unfunny [censored] waste of time and paper Journalism ! FMD !
  18. You'd reckon Grundy will be going flat out to prove his value to the team.
  19. That's a confident call from Trac !!!! It's usually "one week at a time " stuff .
  20. The filth would hate this because they'd actually have to travel to Cat Park - in fact everybody would because all Geelong games would, henceforth, be played at Geelong.
  21. There's not enough nastiness, abuse and back stabbing on this thread!
  22. Three "normal" games from Petracca will do the trick
