I remember him playing in the reserves also. Mum took us kids to every game and I remember her saying: he is so skinny and is wearing glasses, he will never make it. I very proudly said to her he will make a great player for Melbourne. (I went to school with Robbie.) My mother laughed at this. Mum always said that going to the footy in the late 70s and 80s was only make bearable because she could watch Robbie play. Little did we know that day that he would become a Legend.

Agree with this, loves the team and his teammates from all accounts. BUT I would really like to know what makes him tick. The celebration after kicking the goal in the last Q on QB V Pies. Playing well until injured in the Doggies game. Upon return from injury looking much less interested in doing the non negotiables, did the injury play a part in it? He seems to be a very different cat than your stereotype AFL footballer. I also think that after his (unique) football career is over he will be successful in whatever he chooses to do. I would put money on it.

A game at Casey to get his touch back after 6 weeks out, then he can be used to rest someone if needed round 23. As stated in another post.

Adelaide's run and spread, plus superior ball use killed us tonight. Not suprised by the loss. Vince continually playing undisciplined football may well cost him another contract. Hogan, Gawn seemed better for the run, but only O Mac was an effective tall on the night. Lewis provided good leadership and had a solid game, he is far from a nearly finished player in my eyes. Hope there are a few big in's next week, we are gunna need em.

Anzac Eve game now surely has to be a lock. Both clubs pushing hard for it. AFL & TV must now see the huge $$$ and publicity last night bought to the code. Sitting in the MCC on level 4 and I was shocked that it was PACKED, in my 50+ years of going to MFC home and away games I thought the night was immense, well done to both clubs. Light up the G Is special as well. Something that's cannot be done on the Anzac Day game. Also I don't see why there isn't an Anzac Day game played in Perth. Because of the time difference it wouldn't clash for TV coverage with the game at the G. Alternate WC & Freo playing a team from NSW, QLand or SA. Poor souls miss out on this kinda hype. (Derbies excluded)

Yes we need another key defender. It's a must get for season 2018. We especially need to stop playing our 2nd best KPF in the ruck as often as we have this season. ( A bit of luck might help with this. ?) Disapointed as, but I enjoy watch the Demons play Bruising, hard at it, uncompromising football.
