My guess is the only thing you have missed is that it is all but done, and we are waiting for the “live theatre “ tomorrow night.

Days of or lives stuff. I find the timeline interesting in that Hogan met Freo after they withdrew their offer. Is that when the Hogan camp asked for 8 years, 8 million as an FU Freo, pay up or shut up?

Putting aside my total dislike for $cully. Hawthorn are the number one destination club because they have the leagues number 1 coach and a great medical team which $cully might need. In the cold light of day if $cully came back to Melbourne supporters would just have to put up with it. I have no doubt the football department would do what’s best for the club. $cully already knows at least a third of the supporters at Melbourne despise him and surely that would be on his radar.
-
Maybe they are trying to be the Magpies of the West. Support us or hate us. They have certainly moved up the ladder on my list. Hope they stay anchored to the bottom of the AFL one.

It’s pretty easy to understand why huh.

I wonder if Freo have convinced Neale to stay. Just a thought.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

Only way he would ever become a Saint.

Ablett was instrumental in getting the GFC it’s long awaited premiership. Son of a club legend. Everything you say about Melbourne being a rabble at the time $cully was at the club would be most certainly true. Also his standards for training would be the same however.... A lot of us on this site are questioning him as a human being not a footballer. Liars are not my favourite kind of people. As for “supporters that really have half a brain” I would instead say many of them have honesty and loyalty as a standard in their lives. EG: We love our club. Yes Clarko is the smartest and the best coach going around, but on this occasion for me, he is welcome to the $culldog.

One more time with feeling.

I don’t think many are laughing. Agreed he will have a much better chance of a flag at Hawthorn. From a personal point of view I hope he doesn’t get one. As for some suggesting he comes back to the Dee’s ? there are other outside runners we can Aquire. I would add that I rarely feel this way about anyone.
-
Says everything about his character. Also the reason your long running thread is still going strong ?
-
Very mercenary by him. I would put money on the fact he cannot see a premiership at his fractured and “beloved GWS” so run off to Whorethorn to try and get one before Father Time catches him. Little turd. ? for continued lack of success. Lying to a dying man ?

Great post. Thanks for the loyal service Dom.

Yes because Freo don’t want the chocolates, so the conversation has moved on to biscuits

Demonland Podcast Featuring Peter Jackson (17/10)
Deevout replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Fabulous. Roos now PJ, the guys that stopped the ship from sinking. Quodos to Demonland for getting a chance to hear from their perspective what the club was like at take over time and beyond. I listened to PJ’s speech at the B&F via the live stream while in Singapore and you could see the emotion coming through regarding his feelings for the club. My question would be: did he ever feel daunted with the task at hand in the early stages after he took over the postion? A monumental challenge to be sure. I remember being at a game at Etihad just after PJ took on the role, and we were playing a “home game” there against North. The Dee’s were getting flogged and I said to my mate who I attend games with that I was going home to mow the lawn, as it would be more entertaining than watching this rubbish. (Sorry but it was an emotional time getting flogged week in and week out was taking its toll) my mate said to me as I was leaving, do your realise that’s the new CEO sitting in front of us. I said no and I hoped he heard what I said. To go from that moment to watching the crowd at the “G” after the win in the Elimination final against the Cats was a moment to be savoured, and I reflected on where we had come from and where we had got to under Jackson’s leadership. I will always be so so thankful.- 65 replies
