  1. On that topic, I bought my membership about 5 weeks ago and I haven't heard one iota about any of the package. Has everyone found this the case?
  2. Ummmmmm. This is a joke right?
  3. My apologies Gold Coast didn't get one, it was North..
  4. Interesting post i just found on foxsports website. Summary of a list of questions asked to 17 captains, go through it it is good reading. However, the thing that was bought to my attention was the fact not one club voted Melbourne to make the finals this year. Essendon have 5, Gold Coast have 1 and so do West Coast. This really shocked me... http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/a-poll-of-the-afls-17-club-captains-suggests-that-luke-hodge-and-the-hawks-are-set-to-soar-in-2011/story-e6frf3e3-1226023274218
  5. Sadly, by best 22 he physically means the best 22 players i think. I couldn't agree more that some choices in there are silly. how McKenzie missed out i don't know. I vividly remember Mike writing an article saying how appalling it was he didn't get a rising star nomination...
  6. Yeah it's a very interesting one. You can almost guarantee you'll get so many people strongly for or against I just feel looking in he's trying hard. You can't sit 66 days in rehab and fake it. You can't say and do what he's mentioned without some backing. Like i said, it's unlikely but I hope he gets back somehow. FWIW, and this is probably pushing it, never been addicted to anything but I personally don't think the casino problem is 7/8ths of the problem. The idea of it is bad but in principle it seems petty. The man's real problem was horse gambling and the fact he hasn't done that in 13 months whilst maintaining he spends 20$ a week on online poker games would have to prove they don't (in his brain) have a correlation and therefore urge him to gamble on horses. I don't know maybe I'm just trying to look for the good in the lad but thats my opinion
  7. I'm 100% going to go into bat for fev and i'm happy to have an intellectual conversation/ battle with anyone. but that said given its demonland apparently the new thing is to make low blows until the topic loses all credibility. Fev has made some shocking mistakes in his life and I know an interview is only as good as the script put in front of them but if his didnt scream of lost opportunities and a life time of letting himself and his family down I don't know what did. Brendan and this is the saddest part, would have to be as close as being mentally classified retarded as you could get. He was born stupid and it will always be the case. The trouble is his friends 'Sam Newman' and the rest of the Footy Show have used him as they needed him and they toss him on his ass when he gets into trouble. My respect rose for Craig Hutchinson tonight and generally i find him to be an arrogant [censored], however he for once in his life showed empathy. I truly hope Fev plays footy again, plays well, and proves everyone wrong. *edit* changed bad language
  8. In what respect? Lucas Cook ain't going to be a KPP player this year. He weighs less than me and i consider myself a stick and i'm only a flat 6'0. If Cook spends 5 minutes per training just watching Fevola and how he goes about his work in 'Football' he will become an infinitely better player. As long as Melbourne don't pick him up I don't care but for the mean time I happen to think it could benefit some of Melbourne's young forwards
  9. 15 out of 16 teams don't have a stefan martin. doesn't mean it's a good thing...
  10. Given Bartram was taking the kicking set up here, it seems a certainty to me now Strauss doesn't play Round 1. For mine now the backline is now set so interesting to see what other developments come out in the next 2 weeks.
  11. FWIW, i think Col Sylvia will be our next coach
  12. Priddis- Handballs Tackles and FK are high. Bingo
  13. No, the same thing happened last round. It appears that you only get auto selected 30 seconds after the person directly after you therefore if you're incredibly keen on the player and you pick them up quickly it gives priority to the person actually in the live draft. I can't work out if that makes sense but basically the auto selection gives the person drafted directly behind the person absent a moment to choose before it allocates the absent drafters' player.. God i suck at English.
  14. Rounds 1-2 arent that hard in my opinion. You win and loose leagues with your depth picks from rounds 3-8 etc. This is what i'm excited for!!
  15. oh no he's on the skipped setting. this ain't good. i almost feel bad for the lad
  16. JA i was stoked to get Riewoldt at 6. I did second guess knowing my old goal kicking percentage stat may cop a hit haha. That said winning marks every week will help God thsi has me excited. I actually feel sorry for the people who didn't get into this!
  17. Just for future, JA, i have no problems as my Sunday night consists of nothing but i do the NFL version as I'm a mad supporter and their drafting system is every 4 minutes. For me that works perfectly it gives you ample time to find any player you need to or to go through your options whilst not taking 5 hours to complete. Maybe next year we give it a go?
  18. FWIW, Deevoted I would have been taking the same path there!
  19. Haha check mate. But i'm genuinely not joking. Ill certainly be saying I told you so if he only plays 12 games this year
  20. NB before draft my mate who actually is in the AFL system says Gary is suffering from OP, had shots every week of last year and is unlikely to play round one. Apparently the AFL are trying to give him money to just play Round 2 (their round 1) food for thought..
  21. Foxsports 1 for the Ryobi Cup. Keeping me busy enough..
  22. I'm 6 Rover so I'm hoping I dont find you stealing my selections all night
  23. Yeah i've done manual also, than auto pick if i miss it. Seems the obvious choice. I believe this goes until 9.30 and we get as many picks as we can until than. But i could be wrong??
  24. Whilst i 100% agree with the post, its expertly written and presents a serious problem for us, I believe it comes down not to our inability to kick it in but more the men we had inside 50. The clubs that most likely will win the Inside 50 stats are teams with high marking forwards where their midfielders can blaze and know 50% of the time someone will take a mark. With our small forward line we are forced to potter around the HFF to mark up a target with precision and often it wouldn't work out. I agree with you but at the same time, sadly not bombing it in, is playing to our strengths.
  25. It's not an issue of shutting down posts, and i apologise to 'old55' if i offended his ideas in anyway but after an off season that consisted of easily 5 separate topics suggesting our AA backman and arguably best player consider a move into the forward line it gets frustrating. I know this is all hypothetical but if you really in your right mind think Dean Bailey at any stage would ever consider Frawley in a forward role next year i personally think you're very outdated. Likewise for Watts. Watts is a forward, he's not a winger and he's not a backman. He doesn't need cheap kicks for confidence or learn how to be a backman. He needs to put his head over the footy, work his ass off and be prepared to lose alot of contests this year around the CHF line where he needs to play every week and get beaten by some of the best of the AFL's defenders. Our future isn't going to improve by playing our two best prospects at opposite ends to where they are groomed for.
