I'm not involving myself in that particular discussion ?

And given that his leanings were probably part of the reason he failed to win the nomination as the party's candidate, I think it's not too far fetched to believe that the majority of Democrats are not socialists or communists. Six of one and half a dozen of the other.

Nice to see that, as usual, you're across it all P2J. So I guess that must have been a different alt-right that was first launched in 2010 (during Obama's presidency), accredited to Richard B Spencer, the white nationalist. You see, they even gave themselves that label as a badge of honour, and as the years have passed, more and more groups have been encompassed within the movement. As for the nazis around every corner, that's no different than Trump supporters labeling the democrats as pedophiles, communists and socialists. Have a read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alt-right

I suppose you could say that it flew under the radar.

If you live in Sydney, you should pop in and check out RPM Records. They do have pretty hefty prices on some of their LPs, but they also have plenty at affordable prices. They're at 113 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville... just over Victoria Rd on the Sydenham side (next door to a great little live music bar called the Gasoline Pony - where my band plays once every month).

Pretty smart I would have thought. Footy being the professional sport it is, is a business these days; childhood loyalties mean nothing. Of course players will want to set themselves up for the best possible future for them and their families and in this dog eat dog world we now live in, who could blame them.

Vinyl never went away and is now fast becoming a very big selling point in this age of digital music sourcing... people want something tactile again. About a year ago I helped at my friends' record shop that deals probably 90% vinyl (the rest being a few CDs, posters, music books and videos), while they went to Canada for a month, and business was quite brisk. As a mark of it's popularity, it has been supported by music industry doyens such as Glen A Baker and Stuart Coupe who have voluntarily attended in store promotions and quite regularly do their record shopping there. Hopefully this link works... a few photos that I took on one such occasion: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2248161025219168

Trac is considered the Antonov An-124 Ruslan of flighty players.

I thought that this being a Rumour Only topic, then there would be no need to question sources, as until proven otherwise, anything posted here is going to essentially be spurious by definition.

Well, we were paying his salary after all... he was simply being a good employee!

I think the "real damage" is yet to come. I dread to think what he will get up to over the next two months until the inauguration takes place. "Stand back and stand by" may turn out to be more than just an empty threat.

Biden just hit the lead in Georgia... 900 votes up. Pennsylvania next!
-
Hilarious!!!! It was Trump who was demanding that they stop counting! Trump did not want them to count legitimate votes that were not cast on the actual day of the election. You don't get it, do you? There are two possibilities... first, Biden has polled so well because people DO NOT want another 4 years of Trump and would vote for Blind Freddy and his dog if it would see him ousted, or second, Trump, who has increased his vote to a record high as well, by your standard (you can't have it both ways), would indicate that he too is engaging in electoral fraud. So far, all of his appeals to the courts, but one, have been rejected... probably due to the fact that he has not a skerrick of evidence that there has been any fraud at all. Perhaps you can direct us to a legitimate site that details the fraud that is going on - even Trump himself doesn't seem to have been able to articulate it. I fear you are being driven by your hip pocket and the fact that you stand to lose badly financially... but you know what they say... a fool and his money...

Sure, they were wrong to attempt to charge for the membership if you had already made it clear to them that you didn't want the debit to proceed. However, on the call back, it seems that they kept their part of the bargain and did call you back; it was just unfortunate that you weren't able to take the call. I had a similar issue where they were meant to call me back with further info regarding the GF guarantee being included with the membership charge, despite being informed in June that this year's GF guarantee payment would be credited to next year. After waiting a few days, and as it was getting close to the day that the direct debit would occur, I swallowed my pride, called them back and got everything sorted to my satisfaction. You need to understand that they are probably understaffed and having to deal with many many such queries as ours... in which case, things such as call backs do slip between the cracks; they are human after all.

I’m pretty confident Biden will win Pennsylvania. He has brought the margin down from over 12% to 2.6% in the space of a day, and the postal votes remaining are expected to heavily favour him, being mostly from urban areas. He is unlikely to give up both of Arizona and Nevada and he’s still a good chance to take out Georgia where most remaining votes are from urban areas... even if you take away the 50 votes that may have been mishandled by a postal worker.
-
Trump up by 0.5% in Georgia, 1.4% in North Carolina and 2.6% in Pennsylvania (down from 12% early today)... it wouldn't matter if Arizona AND Nevada went his way, he's still a dead man walking, I would think.

And the other 150,000 deaths?

I wonder if it's too late for a certain poster to change horses?

Biden has now overtaken Trump in Michigan and has closed in to within a couple of percent in both Georgia and North Carolina. If things stay as they are now, he wins the election because he’s reached the 270 votes required. But then the litigation begins.

Maine is one of two states that have a strange system where there are more than one allocation of electoral college votes... there was still one vote available there, and it was looking like it will end up with the Dems. Hopefully that won’t be of any significance as Biden is finishing with a rush to take the lead in Wisconsin by almost one percentage point, is just 0.2% behind in Michigan and is steadily closing the gap in Georgia.
