I read in an article on the MFC app, that both the Weed and Brown played in an intraclub game last weekend. Does anyone have any info as to how they went?

Yes, for me Trac was one of our most disappointing players... some terrible turnovers.
-
As long as he's taking the shot from about 95 metres out.

All good, except for the fact that a major concern in the original post was that "They cant phone the club as the club is just overloaded with calls and you cant get through."
-
Yes, AND he gets to keep the tips!

I'm currently a non-drinker and have family in Canberra to catch up with before my son and I go to the game, but I think the nearest pub (walking distance) would be the Kingston Hotel on the corner of Giles St and Canberra Ave. I'm sure there are bars in both Manuka and Kingston, but being Easter Sunday, they may or may not be open. Also, a bit further way if on foot, there is 'Kingston by the Sea' on the foreshore of picturesque Lake Burley Griffin that does have a few bars.

The club and its members have only been relying on this 'new' technology for the past season and a bit due to the extraordinary circumstances we all find ourselves in with the pandemic. I'm not sure who these members are that have no access to mobile or home PC type technology, or how many of them actually exist, but hopefully they would, for the most part, have technologically capable connections (family, carers or other) who could help them obtain seating at games and help them maintain their memberships. We interstate members still keep our memberships going, despite often going years on the trot with the Dees not having games in our cities (I'm in Sydney), so attendance should not be the determining factor; it's all about love for the club.

Yeah, that's what Delilah said!

You must have tuned out early... there was a great shot of a depressed Bucks still sitting in the coaches box, a few minutes after the game had finished.

It's the first posted image (on page two) in the topic... I guess the linking set up here looks for an image to accompany the post.

There was a post about this way back in September last year. It looks like we were probably lucky to keep him with us for this season.

How is he a cheat? The boundary umpire messed up; at normal speed, the player wouldn’t have even noticed the ball was out as he’s concentrating on getting the ball between the goal posts ... I somehow doubt you’d be saying cheat if it was one of our players.
-
Unfortunately it was never on track as the topic when created, was started as a pot shot at Garry Lyon. It was the ensuing discussion that put it on track (well, for a short while).
-
Wow! You really are the master of extrapolation!

I’m a Sydney member and DID get two emails last Wednesday for my son and myself. Are you a member?
-
Hey, I’m a boomer and I disagree entirely with HFF’s post... the first step towards addressing mental health issues is to open up to those close to you... too many people have left us too soon, particularly men, because it’s considered a weakness. I think the message that Lyon was trying to get across was also that we should be asking the question, ruOK?, when a mate might not seem quite right... we should be breaking down that manly artifice.
-
Damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t! What does Goodwin (the guy that did actually get us to a prelim before a couple of failed seasons) have to do before he gets any credit?
-
Wasn’t it Mark Lewin who had the sleeper hold? The Killer’s big submission hold was the abdominal stretch!
-
That’s hardly the fault of Geelong who, in that same post, you accuse of cheating... Brisbane weren’t “robbed blatantly in front of the umpires” at all; the umpire had an unobstructed view of the play and made the wrong call either through sheer stupidity, or through fear of a cats supporter backlash.
-
Thanks mate... I’m just a bit surprised that as supporters can’t attend these games (I’m assuming... is that correct), then surely they must realize that supporters would probably be interested in such trivial things. ?
-
And as your best side should comprise the players most suited to the conditions and best matched against opposition players in the game at hand, then guess what... horses for courses!

No word on goal kickers? (hoping for another Majak bag)
