The more I play and watch sport, the more I think that the difference between the good and great is decision-making.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Haha, excellent wager! As for trying to predict the run home, I reckon anyone who started predicting this just two weeks ago has already been blown out of the water.

State of the game
The biggest 'problem' with the look of the game is that the games that get the most looks - the ones on Channel 7 at prime time - have been horrible (eg. Carlton).

Changes vs Adelaide
Yeah, probably not even possible to win! It's not like we're playing a team we trounced by 91 points earlier in the season or anything. Seriously though, Doedee would be a big out for the Crows. However, our injury list is looking pretty nasty, particularly if Harmes is out (and I'm guessing he won't play).

Changes vs Adelaide
Hannan was dropped for what the Club said was a 'jarred' knee. He didn't play VFL. I'd put good money on the fact that Hannan's been carrying an injury all season, and that this has impacted on his form. I'd be happy to have Hannan miss a couple of weeks of footy if that's going to help his injury management.

Hahah, thanks for sharing this story (and glad that you're still here to share this story).

Chris Judd in the Age
You said that no other Club has honourable losses. That's farcical.

Adelaide and GC look better on paper than Geelong at Geelong, IMO. PS. Good luck getting out!

Should O.Mac and JKH Play A Game For The Dees Again?
What about every other bad decision during the 120 minutes of footy, plus all the skill error during the game that resulted in missed opportunities and turnovers? There were many, many incidents that had more impact than Frost's decision. I reckon it's such a lazy, simplistic analysis to blame errors at the death when, in a close game, many moments right across the game have impacted on the margin. PS. I don't rate JKH.

Darwin game dumped
Where'd you get your figure from? I have it on good authority - CEO/Prez - that our break-even at the 'G is actually a bit under 20K, but that was from a few years ago now and might be out-dated.

Mr Jones
How big's this list? Anyway, I agree with 55 and others that Jones has had a pretty decent season and is well and truly in our best 22 ATM. It's hard to project too far out, but I'd be shocked if he still wasn't playing in the 1s each week in 2019.

There is a role for Bugg
How do you rate it vs Vince's stellar tagging jobs for us a couple of years back, where he was also getting a heap of the footy himself?

Run home to Finals - 2018
GWS upsetting Richmond was a pain for us, but the other results went our way.

Darwin game dumped
It's frustrating that on one hand we put so much time, effort and resources - financial and otherwise - into winning, and on the other we then sell home games.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
In my view this is an entirely irrelevant question, and asking it indicates you've either missed - or chosen to ignore - the substance of my post. I'll play along, though; I don't know, but I assume that it's Richmond station. Here's a question for you: Given that the proposed Yarra Park training oval is a shorter distance from Richmond station than almost all of the MCG seating, you must believe that it is necessary to move our home games to a ground that is more accessible for people from the SE suburbs, right?

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Surely I'm not the only one reading your posts and wondering what you're banging on about. People with little interest in the footy have little interest in travelling into the city from Cranbourne for a training session, regardless of whether that training ground is around Gosch's Paddock or Jolimont station. Even people with a high level of interest in the footy generally have little interest - or little extra spare time to dedicate to AFL stuff - in attending training! In my opinion this whole discussion about whether an extra hundred metres or three of walking to get to training is of importance is a complete red herring. As bb (?) pointed out, if you're willing to go to the 'G to watch Melbourne play AFL matches - and that's the first step for people with little interest in the footy! - then you're going to face the same logistical issues in getting to our proposed training ground. Walking to the Jolimont training oval would be equivalent to walking to the Ponsford stand.

Just like Malthouse to Carlton. EDIT: Monoccular beat me to it!

Petracca in a rut?
Yeah, if that's accurate he could probably do with losing 8-10kgs, particularly if he wants to play midfield.

Ladder predictor
You think we'll lose to Freo in Darwin and WB at the 'G, but think we'll defeat Geelong in Geelong and GWS at the 'G in the final round? Interesting. Squiggle's auto-predict has us finishing 4th on 16 wins, while I tipped 15 wins for us (5th, behind a couple of teams on percentage). I wouldn't be shocked if some results went the other way and we missed out, though - it'll be an interesting last month of footy.
