  1. If you can't hit targets you're not good.
  2. The more I play and watch sport, the more I think that the difference between the good and great is decision-making.
  3. Haha, excellent wager! As for trying to predict the run home, I reckon anyone who started predicting this just two weeks ago has already been blown out of the water.
  4. The biggest 'problem' with the look of the game is that the games that get the most looks - the ones on Channel 7 at prime time - have been horrible (eg. Carlton).
  5. Yeah, probably not even possible to win! It's not like we're playing a team we trounced by 91 points earlier in the season or anything. Seriously though, Doedee would be a big out for the Crows. However, our injury list is looking pretty nasty, particularly if Harmes is out (and I'm guessing he won't play).
  6. Hannan was dropped for what the Club said was a 'jarred' knee. He didn't play VFL. I'd put good money on the fact that Hannan's been carrying an injury all season, and that this has impacted on his form. I'd be happy to have Hannan miss a couple of weeks of footy if that's going to help his injury management.
  7. Hahah, thanks for sharing this story (and glad that you're still here to share this story).
  8. You said that no other Club has honourable losses. That's farcical.
  9. This forum is always good for a laugh.
  10. Adelaide and GC look better on paper than Geelong at Geelong, IMO. PS. Good luck getting out!
  11. What about every other bad decision during the 120 minutes of footy, plus all the skill error during the game that resulted in missed opportunities and turnovers? There were many, many incidents that had more impact than Frost's decision. I reckon it's such a lazy, simplistic analysis to blame errors at the death when, in a close game, many moments right across the game have impacted on the margin. PS. I don't rate JKH.
  12. I've literally started and then deleted this reply a handful of times already, and am still not sure what to say. Obviously you're a passionate Melbourne fan, which is great - but there's something very wrong with footy having this degree of impact on your mental health.
  13. 'The sky is falling, the sky is falling'.
  14. Where'd you get your figure from? I have it on good authority - CEO/Prez - that our break-even at the 'G is actually a bit under 20K, but that was from a few years ago now and might be out-dated.
  15. No Lever, no Hibberd, no Viney. It'll be a notable victory if we can win.

    Mr Jones

How big's this list? Anyway, I agree with 55 and others that Jones has had a pretty decent season and is well and truly in our best 22 ATM. It's hard to project too far out, but I'd be shocked if he still wasn't playing in the 1s each week in 2019.
  17. How do you rate it vs Vince's stellar tagging jobs for us a couple of years back, where he was also getting a heap of the footy himself?
  18. GWS upsetting Richmond was a pain for us, but the other results went our way.
  19. I'm more peeved that we didn't get a free kick. Also wasn't the only time Oliver got hit at a stoppage.
  20. It's frustrating that on one hand we put so much time, effort and resources - financial and otherwise - into winning, and on the other we then sell home games.
  21. Thanks for the link. I've been crying out for half-decent writing about the game - cricket is so far ahead in this respect that it's not funny. If anyone else feels the same, I reckon there are probably more hidden gems linked to from here: http://www.hpnfooty.com/?page_id=22569
  22. It could just be a coincidence, but perhaps his 'demise' started a fortnight prior to that August 5 game. In mid-July 2017 Garlett went on leave due to the death of a family member, and he was in doubt for the Port game on July 20. Garlett gives our team something I think we're lacking, but to get selected - and stay in the team - he's got to work really hard when he doesn't have the ball.
  23. In my view this is an entirely irrelevant question, and asking it indicates you've either missed - or chosen to ignore - the substance of my post. I'll play along, though; I don't know, but I assume that it's Richmond station. Here's a question for you: Given that the proposed Yarra Park training oval is a shorter distance from Richmond station than almost all of the MCG seating, you must believe that it is necessary to move our home games to a ground that is more accessible for people from the SE suburbs, right?
