Well its good to hear from him. It should be interesting to see what he will say at the B&F. Gawn was on mmm hot breakfast yesterday morning and he still sounded shattered. He said he watched the game and actually thought freo were going to beat essendon when they cam back but then obviously had to wait for the west coast game. He said there was no mad monday because nothing was organised and said it's good Casey are still alive but it just feels strange. Said he will get out of melbourne during the finals and when Eddie pointed out some positive things about melbourne during the year Max said yeah but we are probably the only team that have missed out on the finals by 9 points and stuffed it up. Said during the year we should have beaten geelong, hawks, freo, nth and not let brisbane come back like they did. So he is still gutted as we probbaly still are.

I wonder why you suddenly have a so called fallout when a year ago you won a premiership with this team. Has he sooked it up because Bevo dropped him because he wasn't performing, or did he not think he got club support when his marriage fell apart. Which would surprise me considering how they supported Tom Boyd. No I don't want him. yes he is only 23 but doesn't chase enough and a bit inconsistent. as I put in another thread I have been away for 4 days. So I escaped the media stuff on monday. Has no one tracked down Goodwin yet just to ask how he felt sunday night waiting our finals position fade? I know Jones did a presser on monday but surely goodwin is still around the club.

Actually I have just been away for 4 days and got an email back from the club, which I wasn't really expecting. On monday when I still may have been a bit angry I emailed back in reply to those emails we received about buying finals tickets. Checked my emails today and got one back from the club explaining that the clubs holding the top 10 positions on the ladder had to send those emails out to members before the finals under instruction by the AFL. I guess with the 8 not set the AFL wanted to be prepared. So now I understand why we got that info and for people in the media and other people bagging us, no we didnt get ahead of ourselves, it was a requirement.

Tell u what, you would want to rock up to pre season in the right shape and attitude. I wonder how much anger the club has copped. The poor receptionist. Not there fault. Wonder if Goodwin will speak by the end of the wk.

I can see why they put Jones up. wonder if he was alway going to talk today or the club has copped a barrage from unhappy fans they thought they should get someone to speak.

I usually listen to the hot breakfast but didn't want to. Eddie would have been laughing and I know mick would have been giving it to us as well as going on about Richmond. Went to sen and they were talking to Goddard, it went straight off. Tuned into the last 5 minutes of the hot breakfast to hear the guy that works from 9 say what do you call a team that is 1 game clear with percentage and misses finals. He is a essenscum fan. I tuned out.

So did everyone wake up this morning thinking it was a nightmare? Anyone else just feel blah and numb or still angry.

In my moment of anger I emailed back to the club and said maybe wait until finals are confirmed before you send out this crap. Then wrote something along the lines I hope the players are happy they wasted another season. I know the person who will probably read it isnt responsible but someone chose to email that out. Surely PJ wouldnt have approved it. It's something Schwab would have done. I suspect the club may get a few emails and phone calls tomorrow.

I hope goodwin drags them in tomorrow and tells them I hope they are hurting and we coughed up easy games. The younger players probably won't like the criticism because these days you cant give them a spray. Maybe get Peter Jackson to talk to them. He would be angry. At least Viney can get his foot right for pre season, Hogan get that hammy fixed and we can get some more talent to this club. I suspect a few players will wake up tomorrow wondering what the hell happened.

Can only imagine what the like of David Schwarz and Garry Lyon will say on there show tomorrow. I think tomorrow will be all about Melbourne.
