  1. gee you never see that type of thing with young players do you mr.insight
  2. yes i do 'actually, honestly believe' that the club wouldnt give 7 to someone they didnt think was going to make it. I also believe the kid is a gun, are you disputing that or just being a bit of a Wally Simon Buckley just stopped developing and never went anywhere, it happens, it could happen to JB also Jamar just probably wants to keep his old number as some do why do you think the old locker bays between 1-10 were called hollywood boulevard (or something like that) hows that for insight hero
  3. total gun, this proves the club recognises that also. He is going to cause so much damage while the opposition is focussed on stopping Sylvia, Davey, Scully, Trengove, McKenzie, Gysberts etc
  4. when you think about Watts and Jurrah being on the end of those lighting fast movements you realise we are going to be extremely hard to beat
  5. yes! the other day we discussed the QB match (i think it was in the context of the explosiveness and importance of Sylvia) in that match there were several examples of 'coast-to-coast' footy, were we moved it quickly, cleanly, without error across the field for a goal. The commentary team used the phrase 'cat-like'. Bailey's plan is definitely working, and the blokes executing it are just going to get better and better at it
  6. I agree, I think the AFL realised that if the rule had stayed the way it was it could possibly resulted in the 'stars aligning' for somebody, and that club would get a few superdrafts, turning them into a force, and making a mockery of the FS system. To an extent that is what happened at the Cattery.
  7. a fact overlooked by many who discuss vertical leaps and beep tests and what nots.. it's a sport called footy, it's not little aths
  8. dunno about that.. in the few situations that weren't impacted by other players, the umpires, or sheer luck, it was a usually a nil-all-draw, if anything I think Buddy was a punch or two ahead by the end of it. No shame in that of course.
  9. ridiculously stupid club-bashing and/or playing-bashing OP, followed by tedious and childish back-and-forthing including 'you said blahblahblah 3 years ago' followed by inept moderator failing to 'control' the situation before just locking the thing it used to be worse than that?
  10. hahah I knew all of them were the aliases of a single [censored]
  11. by the same douchebags that villify him here of course oh and Frawley broke even at best with Buddy
  12. except for the fact that Bruce was our best player on the day, not sure what happened on 'land but 'ology (where he is villified) awarded him the MFC BOG this was 3 games of football ago, for those of you who don't think the loss of Bruce is going to hurt us onfield in 2011
  13. yes good call, I have conceded to myself that there is a good chance one of our beauties will go. You'd reckon Grimes, Jurrah and McKenzie are safe, for various reasons, but any of the others including Scully, Watts, Trengove, Morton and Frawley could well get pinched by someone at some point, and any of them would sting badly.
  14. I saw it live of course but just had a refresher look. That game wasn't over until the Hawks goaled (somewhat fortuitously) with 4 minutes remaining. We lost by 21 but it was way closer than that appears. With both sides potentially playing for a finals spot, it was neck and neck all day, with many incidents that just didn't go our way. It was a pretty wet day which worked against us as it limited the run we had which was hurting them badly. The big factor was losing Davey early in the 2nd and being down to 21 all day, this was reflected in far less interchange rotations (obv.) Also, we were without Morton, Grimes, Moloney, Bate and Petterd. What's my point? Nothing really except to say that I am confident the Hawks will be our beeyatches for the upcoming era and we would have beaten most sides that day. We could easily have finished on 13 wins this year. Cheers!
  15. a good description of poor discussion skills obviously you have nothing with which you can substantiate or there would be no reason not to just go ahead and substantiate
  16. I've given it the arse too.. all you need to know about the current day posting experience at ology is right here: http://demonology.midnight.net.au/Index.PHP?Mode=Forum&SubMode=DisplayPosts&MessageThreadID=33647&BoardType=0
  17. that is your totally uninformed gut feeling on what goes on in the minds of the Richmond recruiting dept! Regardless of their existing midfield stocks they would leap at the chance to pinch Scully as would every other club in the league. The same goes for Watts, Trengove, Morton, Grimes, McKenzie, Jurrah, Frawley etc. That's because we have an elite/premiership nucleus now.. so just get to used to the idea
  18. most people probably had no idead what was being said until you spelt it out and ran a highlighter over it, in the process adding tiresome bickering to the thread just ignore it
  19. Definitely.. when he debuts in 2013 he will be coming off two years professional training at an AFL club, he will know the coach and his teammates very well and will be under the eye of his own father, no less. What an extremely rare situation.. he will be miles ahead of his colleagues in that draft. So does anyone know if and when he will be able to play for Casey or have i missed the answer to that somewhere in the thread!?
  20. Good call... if G.Ablett Snr was development coach at the Cattery right now then Junior probably wouldn't be off to the GC In years gone by our lack of [censored] and lack professionalism would have meant the Crows would have managed to pinch both Vineys from our rightful grasp, but the club has wisened up and taken the steps necessary to ensure this doesn't happen. How anyone could bemoan that is totally beyond me
  21. hahah i'm going to start keeping a list and award the most rubbish post of the year at the conclusion of next season
  22. i pay full MCC and full MFC for ten years straight MCC is well worth it if you go to an arseload of neutral games along with every Melbourne game (of course) and a few finals.. i reckon I went to about 28 games this year worth every cent! like many others my MFC membership is almost totally a donation
  23. I thought Barty was great this year.. on many occasions myself and others likened his work to that of Matty Whelan, which is big compliment.
