  1. rubbish part of the tradition of the football club and a way of toasting former heroes
  2. you're delusional if you think neutral supporters will fill seats, maybe QB but not regular games.
  3. one of the worst posts I have ever read top 5
  4. I think you are right.. oldest footy club in the world, named for the founding city of the sport, steeped in the history of the game.. in 2004-2006 when we were a decent side we had good attendances, i think they would like to see us up there again dominating the MCG
  5. geez mate wouldn't want to have a self-centered view of the draw or anything like that
  6. correct Bailey seems to be particularly focussed on this
  7. Correct Bate stuffed it then Bail stuffed it in two different ways then Petterd stuffed it should have won that!
  8. Under: Jurrah (he is not quite revered as a deity, which he is) Bruce (massively) Moloney Jones Warnock Bennell Over: Morton Watts
  9. my point was that he had Davey in space 5-10 m closer around a little bit back, Flash would have gobbled it up Roost it: Correct. J.Watts worst miss of the season, may well have cost us a top8 berth, but at the very least it cost the young side a great win: against a decent side in a close one interstate
  10. only qualm is when he centred it to Ricky P in the dying seconds of QB. Should have handballed to Davey or drilled it himself. That one still hurts.
  11. This thread is the property of Brock McLean cos he owns it
  12. yep, when we are the side to beat and they are desperately trying to cover all of our stars, this is one of the blokes who will be way down the list and will wreak havoc. Has already shown on a number of occassions he can fabricate a goal from nothing at critical times
  13. this is not the same thing of course but here's a 16 second centre clearance goal courtesy of Russian, Sylvia, JB and Dunn. Look at JB go there that is brilliant
  14. rubbish Wonna has shown, on a high number of occassions, acts of freakishly abnormaly good football that has produced the goods for the footy club. Jurrah has done it at a much higher rate but that's because he is a one-in-a-billion freak
  15. HAHA way to not put too much pressure on him love it
  16. really? the first time i saw him was at casey for a intra-club praccy match, i think his first appearance for the club.. i walked directly past him as he lined up on the wing at the start of the second half (supporters had been on the field) now I am certainly no Jake Spencer let me tell you now, and I remember being surprised at how little there was of him. Still, I am sure he has grown vertically and horizontally since then
  17. haha Dappa I watched the replay of that game a couple of days ago and almost made a thread about the exact thing you are talking about. That passage of play was the epitome but there 2 or 3 other occassions in that game where we went 'coast to coast' in a skilled, ultra-fast, systematic chain of linking disposals without error for a goal that the commentary team kept calling 'cat-like', truly a-grade stuff... you can see the game plan is for every to just go full tilt the instant we grab a turnover.. there was another one where Jurrah got his hands on it for a turnover at around CHB and everyone just swarmed ahead of him for another link-up goal... and you are dead right, when we manage to pull of these perfect executions it is very often the case that Sylvia (and Davey) is one of the key playmakers in it. We all rate him but he is actually underrated and you are correct when you say he is our most unstoppable when on song man watching that again I had shivers up my spine thinking about how we are already capable of that type of play and we have soooo much talent (particularly through the midfield) that is going to develop.. Watts and Jurrah are just going to be on the end of huge amounts of quality ball streaming in over the upcoming years, they will have a banquet. Hooray.
  18. I never seen a player with greater goal sense, why would you move him away from the sticks at any time for any reason
  19. three days without footy forums? I am trying to imagine this... has there been a statewide power failure or something?
