  1. well no, what bhima clearly said was that the kid stuffed the drill up and in the process gave beamer an unexpected hit not sure where you pulled your version of events from 'Beamer needs to toughen up' i have officially heard everything
  2. 20 years old too, taking on an AA KPD
  3. yeah it's pretty amazing when you think about it, having forums to read and contribute to just increases your insight, knowledge and overall engagement with supporting the club, especially if you don't know a huge number of Dees supporters personally, which must be very common considering our relatively sparse supporter base. You know everyone here has a particular strong addiction to the Dees, unlike a lot of more fairweather types that support all clubs, you need people who obsess over every detail. It has strengthened my love for the game/club a lot.
  4. 5-6 weeks we'll be at Casey getting some form of footy fix. Hold tight.
  5. well, Grimes is a supporter, I know that meant nothing to Juddas but that doesn't mean Grimes is the same. Also, Juddy didn't leave us, he was never here. McKenzie already knocked back a better offer from the Crows in order to stay with us, even though it could have meant the end of his career and has now forged his way into a regular Jurrah came from obscurity to a completely alien environment and was embraced and looked after by the club, and made an unlikely explosion into AFL relevance maybe none of that counts for anything but i like the think they are a little bit safer than Watts/Scully/Morton/Frawley/Trengove
  6. think we all might be reading too much into the casual observations of one person.. but it is the off season and we are starving
  7. it also messed up the drill apparently. Beamer wouldn't have liked that.
  8. geez I don't like the sound of that from Beamer, not one bit thanks for the write-up
  9. BTW how good is it to draw the Swans R1 at the G, that fixture occurred 6 games of football ago and we breezed it home to the tune of 73, our biggest win in 4.5 years (R5 2006). Should get a good start on the board this year. How's this, we have lost on Round One the last 5 years straight, were are well due for a positive start
  10. all I can say is that the oval itself is absolutely brilliant, and they use that impressive-looking aquatic centre up the road.
  11. I genuinely think (not just hope) that our guns are more likely to stick around if we become a dominant/contending side. It has to count for something to be on the G with a side with such talent. Jurrah alone would be enough to make me stay! However, the pull of the coin is deadly as proven by Judd and Ablett at least you'd reckon Grimes, McKenzie and Jurrah should be safe given their history with the club
  12. What are you, a certified discussion assessor? Look I think the poster above has said it in the way I probably should have - a little more tact considering the context of the thread would have been good, and at that, I will leave it! Probably 6-8 weeks some sort of intraclub or something at the Fields 9 weeks 2 days - NAB cup vs Crows/Power at AAMI 15 weeks 4 days - R1 vs Sydney, Sunday, MCG Hanging in there
  13. what are you laughing at? explain how that second quote relates to the first. funny stuff.
  14. yeah I don't see anything wrong that, must have all been in my imagination

  16. did you think you were going to get away with that post? you then went on to imply that everything would be fine if he was as good as your mate Hird can't even stand by your own garbage, what a shame for you i can simply go back and quote exactly what you said in case we all forgot. Now write that apology.
  17. no not nasty at all, not if you barrack for Essendon, his thoughts were quite complimentary. Shame we barrack for Melbourne
  18. pft, how have i done that, by sticking up for Jones? Your post seems to indicate you agree with me so what the hell are you on about? The site shouldn't be used to personally bag our own boys and their efforts (as you acknowledge) to engage with the public through the media. That's the exact opposite of support, full stop. I'm sure the club would agree. You say 'too bad this thread overshadows that' which is exactly the thought that popped into my head when i read the baggings and thats why i spoke up. Could you contradict yourself any harder?
  19. yeah you do one of your players write a piece about another player's late father and you get on here to express, essentially, how little you think of the author.I would love to see you say it to Jones himself or anyone down at the club but you wouldn't, it's safer from your keyboard and no 45 if it was Dayne Beams website i would still have enough class to keep my nasty thoughts to myself
  20. i was talking about the demonland poster and his right to post here and go personally slagging off our players with such little reason to do so. Shouldn't be tolerated, this is a public place.
  21. you just let us know when you think Nathan Jones has become a good enough footballer to warrant having a website, you know, when he's as worthy as your bomber friend James Hird. Pathetic.
  22. how many games of AFL have you played mate seriously take a good look at yourself surely people like this shouldnt be given the privelege of using supporter forums
  23. sorry to ask again, but can anyone provide any insight into if and when Jack Viney will line up for Casey?
  24. that's your personal view on jumper numbers in general, not the CLUB's view, which is what is in discussion I seem to recall Lyon, Stynes, Schwarz, Viney, Neitz, Flower etc all having low numbers which is suggestive that there is a tradition of giving your guns the low ones, wouldn't you agree? and yes obviously there are exceptions to that general trend, before you trot that out
