Its the captain stupid
Gawn must be captain. He is the only one that plays like one.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Lever is not a great one on one defender . He is a third tall intercept defender. He hasn't been allowed to play his natural game. Putting him on the big bodied Mihocek was a poor coaching, May should have been on him from the start. In Brayshaws post match interview he mentioned that players would look down the line and there was no one to kick to, so they had to kick it long which caused turnovers and opposition goals. Theres your problem right there. Either the coaches aren't coaching properly to make sure there is a shorter hit up and therefore less turnovers , or the players arenโt working hard enough. Would a Clarko let that happen? Iโd think not. Coaching Coaching Coaching

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Gee had we played half a game of footy in those second and third quarters we may have pinched that. Fritta was very good, along with Petracca and Oliver, JKH and OMac put up decent efforts. Shocking turnovers from Hibberd, Melksham and co. Viney, hmmmmm, what has happened to Viney? He used to be an absolute animal.

Hibberd inability to hit a Target is mind boggling. Its like ground hog day every week . Big effort in the first , then skills constantly let us down and itโs chasing backsides all day after that. Vney needs to watch someone like Trent Cotchin on how to play the game and lead his team.

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Itโs perplexing as to what happened to OMac really. He wasnโt too bad last year and seemed to be tracking ok. This year he has turned into a complete spud.

Iโm ropeable about Hore being left out. Tanking?

POSTMATCH: Rd 20 vs Richmond
I thought JKH was a damn sight better than ANB as far as actually doing something with the ball. Dunkley will be great, just needs time. Just need to find a tall Forward and a speedy winger in the off season and have a bit of luck with injuries, hopefully get Vanders on the park and a big preseason for all, with a killer instinct to start off next season.

Petracca gradually 'breaking out'
Rated 5th in the whole league for forwards stats tells me me he has been pretty consistent, and there is about 30 guys on the list he has performed better than this year. Pulling his weight as far as I am concerned which is something you canโt say for a lot of our players. Arguing about Petracca is the least of our problems.

Petracca gradually 'breaking out'
Definitely in our top five consistent performers this year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
No chance but I do think we will go after a decent tall forward and Josh Jenkins is my bet.

David King puts the Boot ? in
Just not working hard enough to provide options to those under pressure, therefore seeing too many turnovers. Its also vice versa where we are not putting enough pressure on the opposition. A lot of it comes down to work rate to create space.

We must play Frost on a wing & Fritsch forward.
Frost is growing with each game and I think he will get better as he matures. I would love to see him on the wing to stretch the opposition, with height and pace Fritsch is a natural forward and with our lack of quality forwards, he must play there.
