Spewing I can't go but my son wanted to have his birthday party at home instead of going to the footy so home it is. It also means there's another 6 or 7 of my family who won't be going either. I also have a christening on the same afternoon as the Swans game in round 3 so because of all our interstate games the first one I'll get to go to is ANZAC Eve! Gonna make sure I get there for as many games for the rest of the year after that, it's going to be a good season I feel and I want to make sure I'm there to enjoy it.

That is the creamiest puff of all cream puff fixtures. What a way to ease into the season! -
I got a nice bottle of Tanduay rum straight from the Philippines for my birthday, may crack that open on Saturday

Amazing to think how far we've come in 10 years 💙❤️

Trying to watch the game on the tv while having a house full of relos over for my son's birthday. Need to make sure all the food is cooked by the first bounce and I have a scotch/whiskey/rum in hand. Hopefully we win so I can watch the replay when they all leave.

They'll be expecting Jye Amiss to step up I assume -
Are people still waiting on their membership packs? I received the AFL membership one last week but nothing from Melbourne yet.

Caroline Wilson fancies us this season.

I think they might sneak into the 8 but no way they have a run like last year especially with Suns, Blues and Port pushing back towards finals. -
Nah but his desk is

Especially with our history of foot injuries. Just get it right before he returns.

Including Anzac Eve?

This is a classic game from 1989 - 4 rounds after being smashed by Geelong by 69 points at a mud packed MCG where we kicked 2.8.20 for the whole game we beat them by 3 points at Waverley! Check out some of the efforts of Garry Lyon in the last quarter and a bit including a monster torp goal to the right of screen reminiscent of his one against the Blues in the 88 Prelim.

These ones are a little bit deeper in the vault but I love the history of the game (and club) and I hope some others might find it as interesting as I do. This is a replay of the final quarter of our win over the Pies at Vic Park in 1968.

Depends which games but generally yes behind the goals Punt Rd end and maybe forward pocket southern stand same end? Half the ground is MCC/AFL members and most of the rest of level is reserved members seating. If we're playing North or GWS you can sit anywhere, Collingwood it Richmond you'll be up on level 4. Edit - and there's always standing room on level 1.

We will still be set up with Gawn, Grundy, May, Lever, Petty and probably Brayshaw to intercept any dump kicks coming out of our forward line. A defender looking up kicking out of our attacking 50 will have to make a smart split second decision or risk turning it over. This is also predicated on forward 50 pressure from ANB, Spargo, Kozzie and our kids helping out like they did in 2021. This element was off in 2022 which allowed teams to rebound quicker/smarter out of our forward line.

There's a schedule of radio appearances on this page - very interested to hear what Charlie Spargo has to say, can't imagine him getting too excited about anything 😂 https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1280431/dees-radio-takeover-celebrating-membership-deal

Last time we played them there we were up 11 goals at half time.
