  1. The restriction is only on trading FUTURE first round picks. There's nothing to say you can't yrade your first round pick every year but if you haven't used 2 in a 4 year period you won't be allowed to trade any FUTURE first round picks. Of course this all comes with a massive asterisk that states the AFL will consider this on a case by case basis (or if you ask nicely we'll let you do it anyway).
  2. FFS Hogan is NOT a Free Agent next year, Restricted or otherwise.
  3. Why would he publicly state anything?
  4. How would he leave for pick 18 next year? He's not a FA.
  5. Same as trading a contracted non-FA except he can walk to the draft if no trade gets done and he doesn't want to stay with Melbourne. Risks getting picked up by someone else though. Rarely happens, I think the last was Luke Ball in 2009.
  6. No. He was drafted in 2012 and was with us at Casey in 2013. His first year on the senior list was 2014.
  7. It would be May
  8. Eh whatever. Both Macca's picked in the 50s, so was Hunt. Still plenty of quality for scouts with the right eyes.
  9. Gets caught too often and turns it over regularly. No big loss especially if it gets us a 2nd round draft pick.
  10. Who cares? You don't like someone's posts just block them. I do. Better than having 20 pages of dick measuring.
  11. They have no currency to trade with
  12. Agreed, gold coast did say no to Ablett when he tried to get out a year early.
  13. I doubt they'd get a pick higher than 15, probably more likely in the 20s
  14. People are acting like it's a foregone conclusion we'll nab May once Hogan walks but it seems the general consensus is Collingwood is still in the box seat. Not sure what currency they've got to deal though.
  15. NFL

Haha sorry mate just saw this now! Is it 3 road teams every week? If so this week I'll take Saints, Chiefs, Ravens
  16. Especially considering the marking power displayed by the Eagles yesterday. We have been beat up by big key forwards for years, it's one of our major Achilles heels.
  17. And how did we go in our last losing game?
  18. It won't be enough from gold coasts end. He is their captain, full back, one of a few senior big bodies they have.
  19. Agreed ET I'd want something coming back our way if we sent pick 10 for May even if we got KK thrown in
  20. Must push for 5/6 & 10 not 9 & 10.
  21. He's the captain you think he doesn't know what's going on? Hogan is gona 100%
  22. I would've thought its pretty obvious that this is legit
  23. I think I'd rather have 13 & 18 than just 8.
  24. I don't disagree with you mate but it seems clubs have got a bit more serious in recent times. When Wallace was coach at the Tigers they didn't even have a full time recruiting manager. There's been more investment and with that a greater strike rate in recent years. Not a guarantee but it seems a greater probability of hitting on a best 22 player. Not everyone is gonna land a Judd or Dangerfield but there are plenty of good players taken too 10/15 in the last few years. I remember your thread and appreciate the time taken to go through that. Might be time to update it and see where things sit 4-5 years on.
