Rhino To be fair whilst you have a point. Dunn still took out Courtenay Dempsey in the NAB Cup with a nice bump. But we never see this enough.

Exactly. Why was Nicholson the only player to help Dunn? Well because we're a soft team made up of individuals who just arent physical enough in their approach. I say bring down Rodney Grinter to the club and teach them a thing or two about getting in the face of your opponent and giving them a good bump. Dunn and Tappy are pretty much the only players with any grunt in our side. We've got to turn around this perception that we're a soft team! NOW!

I almost want Scully to go to GWS. Think about it. He has chronic problems with his knee. We'd get two priority picks for him. We'd free up millions of dollars we'd otherwise be able to spend say trying to get Clarkson or Malthouse to the Club. We're getting a belter of a midfielder Jack Viney next year Inconsistent players like Sylvia just eat into our salary cap and should be getting paid less not more for what they provide the club on the field.

Sylvia is not worth 450K a year. If he played like he's worth it then fine but he aint. If he wants to go, fine then bugger off up to GWS. Wouldn't mind if we talked to WCE about a straight swap (Morton for Gaff)

It's not just that it's the fact that we're considered the SOFTEST team in the league. That is a disgrace! Case in point on the weekend. Dunn is floored by Chapman on Saturday and not a single Melbourne player came in for a bifo with the Geelong players coming in to support Chapman. Why are we such a soft team? When's the last time a player has legally lined up a player for a hip and shoulder? When? I can't remember. I can remember watching our boys get smashed up in the 2000 Granny by those scumbag Essendon players who played hard and dirty but that helped win them the Flag.

Too right. It's been the thought going through the minds of Melbourne supporters watching the 1st Quarter the past 4 years and thinking...have they turned up this week and do they really want to win this game of footy?

How many times does Garry Lyons need to say he doesnt want to coach? It's not like he's running for President of the USA when they're supposed to say they dont want it! Hutchy and Caro just wont let up. I like Garry talking about the fact the players need to take a good hard look at themselves for giving up on Saturday.

I just want a coach who makes our players accountable when they clearly show they've got no commitment or fire in the belly to fight it out on the field. Mick Malthouse and or Laidley are coaches who expect this of players.

I hope we could given how better off we are financially but I wonder how much it would cost to snap up Clarkson or Malthouse for 2012 and beyond...surely it will cost a lot of coin.

What would we rather a top class coach or keep Scully? What would you choose??? Clarkson/Malthouse or Scully?

Liked the part where he said he ducked just after he told his wife he got the sack to miss getting hit in the head. Class joke. Yep may not have thought of him as much of a coach but a top bloke he is...could do well at Adelaide or Port Adelaide next season.

Fair cop mate. You've got a point there. I think the best thing out of this is that we should be looking at everybody's role at the club and making some tough judgement calls on whether people are up to doing their job or not.

I think Brad Green should hand the captaincy over to Brent Moloney too.

I have a lot more respect for S. West than Mahoney and especially Royal who was a throw back who we decided to give a second chance to help assist our backline good job he did indeed. I'd keep S. West and Viney out of our coaching staff IMHO.

Hopefully the board will now sack Josh Mahoney and Brian Royal two duds this club could do without IMHO. Bails was not up to it but Royal and Mahoney should accept some of the blame too for our useless performances...

You can hate where this club is right at this point in time. But you can never hate this club. Despite all the tears and all the unfulfilled promises of success I couldn't throw in the towel on this club. Granted I probably wont be a 100 buck full paid up member next year I think I'll take the cheaper 50 buck option. I don't think they're worth 100 bucks a year to be honest. If the players really blamed themselves for their performance then they should all except McKenzie give up their match fee or donate it to charity. They didnt earn their crust playing like they did on Saturday... The Richmond supporters on their blog were much much more vitriolic against their club after getting beat by Gold Coast up in Cairns than I've seen on our Blog.

Josh Mahoney...never heard of him. Must speak volumes of his capacity. I'd only keep Scotty West from the whole coaching staff.
