Our form will turn around because we'll be playing middle of the road teams. On the evidence of this season so far, we're strong and combative against theae teams and we've won all those games, with the exception of Adelaide. Had we kicked straight against Adelaide, we would have won or gone very close. I was at that game and we won the uncontested and contested possessions, and had the same amount of scoring shots (in fact, they had a shot on the siren).

For me, at this stage, Frost has some handy versatility, but he's not in the bracket of Viney, Jetta or Tyson IMO.

But improvement also comes incrementally. When we win our 6-8 games this year that'll be an improvement on last year. Next year it'll be about ensuring consistency of performance. If we can do that we'll go close to the top 8. Once again, another incremental step.

Agreed we miss Kent, Frost and Viney, but I also agree Tyson has been thoroughly underwhelming this season. He was instrumental in our few wins last season. He won a heap of clearances and kicked goals. If he capture that form again this year, that's where the season will turn, IMO. It'll free up Jones, Vince and even Brayshaw and Vanders.

If Tyson regains fitness and form, that's where our season turns for me.

It's got very little to do with the forwardline IMO and everything to do with our C grade midfield.

I think this merely shows the gulf between the top 4 or 5 teams and the rest of the competition. Take those 4 or 5 out and anyone could beat anyone. I still believe we will win between 6-8 games this year.

If it's the same blonde guy that I'm thinking of, I still see him regularly at the footy. See him whenever we trave interstate too. Remember the guy with 45 on his back too. Haven't seen him around for quite some time though.

I don't suppose ProDee and a few others were marching in Richmond yesterday with the United Patriots Front? Some scary insights into posters on this thread. I can't see us learning much more from it.

I don't think Jack lacks effort. It's physicality he lacks and in the modern game, if you can't tackle, you're shown up severely.

Howe actually annoys me more than Watts. I'm beginning to think both of them need to be traded though.

Agree with everything except Tommy Mac. Thought he had an absolute shocker. I can't remember him winning a one-on-one either, which has been just so rare. Watts, unfortunately.

Boak killed us again. Yep. Trade him, please. I think it's best for both parties too. I still can't believe the rest of the comp haven't woken up to how one dimensional he is as a player. People are frustrated with them as players, not as people. Very different. To be frank, our supporter base deserves more. For absolutely no reason. And he kicked it to Bail. WTF. We haven't got a true A grader yet. That's the problem. Port have Boak and you could argue Gray. Ebert wouldn't be far off either. Jones is B grade, Vince is B grade and the other blokes are too young.

Port look like a totally different side now. Run ons are an amazing thing in footy. Their confidence was shot. Dunn kicks the ball down the middle to Bail when he didn't need to and Port get a goal from it and their confidence rose from there. Our midfield is clearly still C grade. Jones is a solid B grader (love him, love his effort), but when the momentum swings against us, he doesn't have that star quality to swing a game. Brayshaw just might, in time.

That momentum shifted drastically when Dunn inexplicably torped it down the middle. No need to do it. He's played one good season in his career. That's all I'll say. McDonald, Garland and Fitzy have all had shockers so far. Brayshaw outstanding and Vanders once again good.

I don't think they should risk him. Just give him a week off, please.
