They were absolutely destroyed against Hawthorn. They were lucky it wasn't 100+ points. They all threw themselves at the ball, won possession and then coughed it up every single time. They were deplorable beyond the first contest and Hawthorn greatly out-strategised and out-played them. Port look very Melbourne circa 2007 to me. Lots of hope but just missing *something*. Could be the beginning of the end for them in this premiership window. We should win by 40+ imo. I think they're done.

Hmm... I can easily find an image of any normal football card and with the right skill print an exact replica. It's the same with the Mona Lisa. Or any of Van Gough's work. Print it at high enough quality. Frame it well enough. I can claim to have an original but its *true* value is much lower than the original. NFTs are much the same. Easier to copy to share, of course. But if you *own* it, it doesn't matter how much it's shared or copied or replicated. You own the original digital copy. That's where the value is.

Came here to say this. Can score quickly but also get scored against quickly. They will win some big games this year. But they still lack polish imo. They could well finish top 4. They along with Sydney, Brisbane and Collingwood are my biggest concerns this year. I'm not concerned about Geelong, nor the Bulldogs.

Some of you are absolutely cooked. I'm sorry but that was a fantastic game. Professional. Composed. Never gave in to the Essendon pizazz. They kept nibbling at us all game and we just went to another level each time. Great teams always win those type of games by 5-7 goals. Essendon isn't terrible. They'll steal some wins. That was the type of wins that great teams steal. Never in doubt. How many times have we been in Essendon's position? Good but not good enough? That was a great win. Change my mind.

WC or any club for that matter would be utterly insane to offer him that. Granted he is a star and will get better but that's a 24-25 year olds contract, at earliest. This contract whether at Melbourne or elsewhere is 2-3 years tops, in the 700k-750k range. Salary rates and ranges will change by 2025 at which point provided his performance has continued he can request 1 million a year.

Hunt plays like an Essendon player.

Sydney has been getting solid crowds since the mid 90s. Lockett and Barassi set them up. It's no surprise that Gold Coast's membership and crowds became static as soon as Ablett left and they crashed again Brisbane, Sydney, GWS and GC simply can't afford to bottom out. Brisbane was on the brink a few years ago. Sydney has been very solid for going on almost 30 years since 1995. GC is going to be on life support until they win a flag. And you can bet the AFL will help them just as they did Brisbane.

A lot of people writing them off but they have talent and will trouble some sides. We *should* win easily but don't count on it. They're okay.

All of my friends are either Carlton or Collingwood. I'd say the ****talking between mates has been pretty steady vs past years but I'm not as prickish. But in talking with other supporters at work, my opinion definitely has more "weight" now. When I tell people I go for Melbourne it's normally met with a, "Ahhh ok" vs the old "LOL you go for Melbourne your opinion is worthless" that I used to get. I definitely enjoy getting stuck into Essendon supporters though. But there's more respect there now from Carlton and Collingwood supporters so I've toned it down a tad.
