That goal won't matter. They look like scoring every time they go forward.
-
We are in second gear and it shows. Chandler's effort on the far wing a few minutes ago summed it up. Just assumed the North player wouldn't cover the spare or get there in time.
-
Bruise free with no pressure but also badly outcoached. Clarkson absolutely laughing.
-
We've gone from being great on small grounds and average at the MCG, to average on small grounds and great at the MCG. We seem to struggle assessing distance on small grounds.
-
North averages 67 points a game. They have 35 to quarter time at 67% F50 conversion. Richmond started similar last week and we badly need to reign that in before finals.

Switched off.

this is sooooooooo poor.
-
If Collingwood finish first and lose, and we lose our QF, the Prelims would both be interstate. Not travelling can't be avoided if you lose.
-
finals are going to be carnage this year and at least one of the top 4 will go out in straight sets. bulldogs, cats, blues and yes even saints can cause an upset on their day. i still think it's melb, Collingwood, daylight and the rest, but the finals are going to be very tough this year.

same last week. back to early 2000s Geelong it seems.

What they are saying at Arden Street
praha replied to Bitter but optimistic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Despite all of this, they are undoubtedly the least appealing, most unmarketable team in Victoria. They had one of the best teams of all time in the 90s, were prime time every Friday, had Nike throwing money at them, and played in at least the Prelim for like 12 years straight. They sure have done a lot for the game. But that they are in the position they are is either an indictment on the club, or a reflection of the club's irrelevance. -

Port is arguably the most arrogant AFL club for a while. And i don't mean Geelong and Hawthorn arrogant because they talked the talk and walked the walk. Port have this weird sense of entitlement that is quite comical. Assume it comes from having Koche as your President and Hinkley your coach. Not at all surprised by this really. They function in a bubble. Crom will win a flag before they do. -
Had 2021 written all over it, that last quarter.
-
lol our defenders have been kings of not getting the ball over the line tonight. This has Port game written all over it. Dominated third but then fall short.
-
We looked worse against Brisbane and somehow found a way to win.
-
We've forgotten how to tackle in the degensive 50. What the actual [censored] is this defensive game?
-
I can't believe that. What the actual [censored] was that goal. Jesus.
-
We are playing a highly offensive game against a team ranked 1st for F50 efficiency. We need to lock this down.
-
Richmond at near 80% efficient F50. Dominating everywhere except there. Richmond playing out of their skins. Look like having a shot every single time.

Membership numbers in isolation mean nothing but one member = one additional person on the mailing list. Mailing lists holistically are worth A LOT especially to sponsors. Sponsors don't care whether they are $1 or $1000 members. You sign up, they have your details. Collingwood goes to a company and says "We have 100,000 people ready to be emailed, SMS'd and called to talk about your brand, from us. How about it?" It's 30k more than Melbourne. Sponsorship these days to the every day joe is just a number but from a business perspective it's getting people in so the club can say "We have this many people willing to spend money with us." It represents purchase intent. We have a good engagement level of membership to attendance but overall in terms of money coming in *beyond* membership, it makes a difference.

Zero chance this government puts any money into a development in Caulfield of all places. Even if it does have significant public benefit.

Read my response above. Fairly certain if you've been on the list uninterrupted (no delisting, rookie listing etc.) you need to have been at a club less than 8 years AND be in the top quarter of salaries at the club to qualify for UFA. Even if he hadn't been delisted he would be UFA. EDIT: OMG IT CAME TRUE, I'M A REAL BOY! https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-news-2023-list-of-free-agents-out-of-contract-players-salary-cap-trades-every-club/news-story/977c549fb1a919805b2b0a6f1d64d85d "A restricted free agent is an out-of-contract player who has played nine or fewer years with their current club and is in the top quarter for salaries at the club."
-
where there is smoke there's fire. these rumblings rarely don't occur as they've reported. will be paying 50% of his salary at another club next year.
