May to Tribunal
Yep hanging for the NFL and NBA. AFL has lost the plot.

May to Tribunal
He won't get off. This is a farce always has been. It's just for show. Decision has been made.

We've had some great performances this year against genuine contenders and probably should have beaten GWS and Collingwood. Even Hawthorn was up for grabs. But that is really a bare minimum for this squad. If Goodwin and co really think Daniher is the critical missing piece then they are delusional.

Goodwin is still trying to find a replacement for Brown. We simply haven't recovered from losing Jackson and then Brown. There is no plan B.

I am absolutely convinced that the issue isn't the players we have. It's the system and structure. Fritsch is an established 50-60 goal a year forward Melksham has proven he can kick a bag on multiple occasions across multiple weeks Chandler, JVR, Jefferson are works in progress and may not work but have all demonstrated at one point or another some capability and competency. There is a big drop after that but Petracca and Pickett are both established goal kickers themselves when give the chance to roam forward. It doesn't happen enough. This attempt to get Daniher is telling me a few things. The coaching and list Management teams think it's a personnel issue. I am all for getting more talent in but if we are worried about our future after Gawn and even Melksham, Daniher must clearly then be only a 1-2 year proposition. Goodwin and co. believe we are still in the window for a flag and can top up with experienced talent. If we go down this route and it doesn't work I really hope people are prepared for years in the wilderness because we stand to lose young talent in the process.

Anyone in support of this can leave through the same door as Goodwin, Richardson and Choco. [censored].

Time to start a rebuild?
I agree. This is a top 8 side. Last night's performance was embarrassing. Even as the best team. The entire past 12 months has been a huge dent on Goodwin's legacy. We have lost all respect that we built across 2021-2023. The real concern is our window is shutting quickly. Goodwin will coach next year but if it doesn't turn around he's done.

Time to start a rebuild?
Heard the same caller. It made me sad but it's the truth. We had 13 premiership players + 4 top 10 picks plus three more first round picks tonight. If it's not working then either tough calls need to be made about the top end of the playing list or you need to make a decision on the coach and football department. If we go into next season with the same core list we are crazy. We badly need to start injecting Rivers and JVR into the midfield. Viney and Oliver imo need to be moved on. We need to make the tough call as Collingwood did with Grundy, Treloar and Adams. We are going to push these young stars away. Petracca also needs a full game up forward. Just as that caller said we are forcing the hand of these young players who are crying out to give us some much needed pace and drive. We are wasting Riveds and McVee by having them languish down back.

POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
We were the better team in my eyes. Both teams have their struggles and I rarely blame the umpires but tonight's game was officiated very poorly.

Jefferson AA.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Such a typical way to end the game. Watch Carlton finish it now with a single end to end transition.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Has to. Last second turn to the side with the shoulder to brace for impact. Natural reaction but it is what it is.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
That was quite bizarre. Maybe he was complaining because he was slightly more up the field... not sure but it seemed weird.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
He looks great... until he doesn't. Gets to position and wins some great ball. Even okay defensively. It is definitely mental for the kid. But the league is brutal. He is literally costing us costing opportunities. It is not good enough.

Are you free next week?

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Moir is tonight's Kent Kingsley nominee.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Jefferson has literally cost us about 4 goals. I almost feel sorry for the kid. You have to sub him.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
We just don't know how to score against a half decent defense that floods behind the ball. We aren't quick enough and don't have the skills to break through

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Sub Jefferson off. JVR forward.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
In Jefferson's defense he isn't even worst on ground.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
24 turnovers in a quarter is inexcusable.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
100% of their score came from turnovers. Huge red flag.

Spewing i couldn't make it today. Crowd looks great and it's been quite enjoyable to watch on TV.

Training Ground?
I'm on the job hunt at the moment. Came across an opportunity on SEEK at the club. Location: Cranbourne. Absolutely no offense to anyone that lives out that way. But how can the club seriously compete for talent across all areas of the club if it's seriously trying to tempt people to work there? No public transport access. Horrendous traffic. Not to mention not the prettiest place in the world. Your talent pool is limited to maybe a 10km radius for a place like that. For people that live in Frankston area it might be appealing but even for those in the south East closer to the Bay... getting out there can be a real pain. It's a shame because the job ticked all boxes for me, I'd have loved to apply. I live 8km from the CBD. It would take me 1hr 10 mins to get to Cranbourne... now. At 10:30pm. It's no wonder why it came up in the whole Petracca fiasco last year. It never really clicked for me why it was such a big deal until I saw "Cranbourne" written under a job ad for the Melbourne Football Club. How embarrassing. Sorry again for anyone out that way, no offense but it is a joke.
