  1. and they all rotate, anyway. There is always, a way... never ever, say never. B + pozativ.
  2. Why do we always live in fear of loss at Melbourne. This is one of the same fears,,, of recruiting blemished talented players; and of out of contract players on our list. may leave, IF... The same fears carry over, to turn us negative at matches, when things are tough,,, and we have to climb our way back into a game. We have to overcome this, just as the players have to overcome their fears and negatives, as they are taking hold. Mahoney will do whats right for him, anyway... sometimes that "old acquaintance" thingy, takes too much toll on us all. And spoils our output. .
  3. "Gentleman Jim" wanted to rid the club of stuffiness. so do i. Jimma wasn't a great businessman, nor a great list coordinator, but he had the passion to try to take the club in the right decision. But that went wrong... at the hands of many. The wrong people;,,, but no worse that getting it wrong in the early 2000's, or for decades earlier than that. In fact we've been getting it wrong since the 'end of time' Smithy days. But this thread isn't about the 'Jimmas' of the club. This is about the handover from (AFL endorsed) PJ... to whoever... Hopefully AFL endorsed. I trust the AFL's acumen, in finding better Footy people to do the job, than our boards of the past 50Yrs_
  4. I don't think we need Gaff as much as we all thought we did, last year. Our young mids are starting to grow their engines, and run. Stretch is running hard and creating, and just needs that breakout game in the seniors. Hunt likewise needs to learn to adjust his mind. Viney, Oliver, Petracca and Brayshaw are all different to Wines. I think they compliment one another's abilities. No one is an Oliver. Certainly Brayshaw is not an Wines. very different.
  5. every club needs Wines. We can fit him in somehow, before the pies, Hawks, bummers or blues work him into their lists. Josh Mahn,,,, do your best work, and get Oli onto the D's List..........................................................................................................

    Site Issues?

    cheers Dl Done, thankyou.
  7. I'd prefer Wines over Gaff, if it was a choice.
  8. Geez, I hope your right 'tslpg'. and happy to do the trades to get it done. I know we want gut run, but we are currently growing our own. I'm NOT looking just at 2018-19... but for the next 8 Yrs. Lets get Wines over, and just get it done. Now.
  9. We've been in the past, shooting ourselves in the foot from board level;.... and I have no confidence that we will EVER get great footy board people, as long as its connected with the MCC. I do not want any board members connected to the MCC. i want footy people with great business sense;,,, but mostly, a deep understanding of footy and footy clubs. stuff the stuffiness... as gentlemen Jim wanted.

  11. Well done Tommy t. Thanks for being a club man, and most likely, a one club player. Great news, & this is the way to win in September.

    Site Issues?

ah, sorry Dl. They are years old. I haven't checked them for that long. I thought they were from yesterday, & maybe some Asian was trying to send me an email to open. ( written in poor english ) Sorry for that confusion. I am also suffering terribly from chronic sleep apnea. That must have contributed yesterday.
  13. So Is E'd going down the slide, in the deep freeze ??? Lets hope he doesn't wear his catholic cloke, or that arze may drop out of it.

is the site being targeted at the moment. via the notifications?
  17. They're different players and so the roles will be as well. At the moment they are both doing similar job, only because Weide is just a kid learning, and growing. But ultimately they are different players. The good thing is, all our talls have overlaps in the skills sets and abilities.
  18. Ok, so why do these camps exist, for sporting clubs, why do they even do the Kokoda trail ? The argument should also incorporate Clarkson and other coaches and clubs, who do these type of pre-season camps. Maybe its just a Baby-boomer thing. We are going well at this time, so I really cannot be bothered to enter into a long winded debate, so far removed from where the team is, right now.
  19. OK dmma. let you have your game. I can't be bothered discussing this against your strong arguments. to much for me sailor.
  20. You know this how ? dmma How do you know what all the players thought individually, of cancelling the camp. You don't get to rewrite the posts of others, Via your own descriptions,,,, half a season later. and then claim some sort of hollow victory over what I don't know. You sound a little like this fella.>
  21. You've been watching his play ? He was talented not so long ago.
  22. Fair enough... But would we be able to use a Daniel Rich in our lineup,,, and can somebody tell me what Ryan Bastinac is like, these days?
  23. I think Pedo was inline for this match to counter Cox and Grundy. We could have played a smaller defence, if we had both Gawn and Pedo bear this week, to guard against their talls going forward ?
  24. I think I've read Petty is a good intercept, but he's just started to learn; unsure of Decs reading of play/intercept abilities? but IS in very good form. I would say he's front of cue, with Frost. I think Dec sounds like he's a better user of ball.
