Unlucky to be drafted under Neeld. Like a lot of players he never knew where he stood with Neeld and made it difficult to know exactly where they were at, and to have that with with your first coach is tough luck. I hope he gets a 2nd shot somewhere else. A top bloke!

Very true, picks and our NQR players that have ability that other clubs may think they can get the best out of. For me our 3 biggest tarde bait options that clubs may be willing to look at are Blease, Tapscott & Jetta, especially if you combined them with a pick, it just depends on who/what we're trying to get back in return. Our other biggest tarde bait option is certainly Fitzpatrick, but given that he just signed a 2 year deal and the uncertainty over Clark's injury I wouldn't expect us to trade him.

I'm expecting big things of Strauss next year. Reckon Roos will will work his magic here and turn him into a consistent HB/Wingman.

Agreed. Kelly is purely outside and I'd expect St Kilda to snap him up at Pick 3 Aish has the ability to be an inside/outside midfielder but to start with will be mainly outside no doubt.

Very good year in the WAFL. Decent speed and reasonable disposal. Just had his unjury issues and lack of opportunity. It's been rumored he's keen to come back to Victoria and if he didn't walk into our starting 22 he'd at least be in our best 25 you'd think.

Brad Green did. i can't remember which year it was but he was seriously considering a move to Collingwood but signed on for three more years late in trade week.

Well this is a shallow draft. Wouldn't be against using Picks 2 & 20 on young guns: eg Pick 2: Aish Pick 20: Jones and then later picks on the players you mention. Jason Pongracic who spent the year playing with the Dolphins in the VFL could fit the bill IMO. I'm still amazed he was overlooked in last years draft.

You should ask GWS as they were chasing Robert Warnock last trade period. And as I said Jamar was a sweetener. I could have also posted trade picks 2, 20 and (insert generic non requied Melbourne player name here) for Adams, Tyson & late pick. He's a sweetener, not the main prize. The draft picks are what's there to get them over the line, and I reckon Russian would have more value to GWS then any of Jetta, Nicholson or Magner would have.

Would still rather any of Zak Jones, Luke Dunstan, Trent Dumont or Patrick Cripps with our 2nd round pick. Do we think there's a chance he'll still be there by our 3rd Round pick which at this stage I think is Pick 36?

Any of the following are fine with me: Draft Aish Trade for Sloane Trade for Rockliff Trade for Swallow Trade in a package with pick 20 & Jamar for Adams, Tyson & a later pick. (Means we take Jolly as a FA) And agree with Ron, Cross is a must and I think Weller should come under serious consideration also. I'd also like to keep an eye on what gets shaked out of Geelong when their delistings are done....

If we get a PP at the end of 1st Round, staright after our 2nd round pick then maybe? If he's there for our 3rd Round pick then yes I'd take the punt! Otherwise pass.

We'll go with Aish, Kelly or Scharenberg. Looks a good runner and a nice long kick. Reckon he'll go to West Coast at Pick 6 IMO.
