IMO the problem is a lack of movement from the Melbourne players and plays into the oppositions zone. This means the only option is a risky precise kick or a long bomb to Jamar.

IMO the problem is the majority of Melbourne supporters sit in the Northern stand and many of those middle level. From the commentary boxes looking across at the southern stand it looks empty.

I thought you had play less than 6 games prior to round 1 this year, hence Masten would be ineligible? Edit " Just looked it up, under 21 and less than 10 games prior to start of season. So Masten is technically eligible (9 games last year) "

I would move Petterd (20yo, 20 games), Buckley (22yo, 21games) and Meesen (22yo, 6 games) into players Melbourne is relying on becoming category A or B. Pettard has shown promise up forward with limited supply, has shown in other games he can play defence or midfield as well. Buckley has had a horror year of injuries, showed good potential in his previous two years. Possible missing link in midfield to break through packs? Meesen was really good in the ruck before getting injured.

I hope the whispers on Jurrah are true. It would be fantastic see Jurrah debut next to Watts after seeing him play last week at Casey. Is this possibly an early indication Jurrah wont play?

Crowd for me. Would have looked even worse if not for the 3000-4000 crow supporters. Despite the low scoring game I was really happy with the teams intensity around the stoppages, big improvement on last year.
