  1. Beyond amazing - do we have a Lizard King incarnate at the Dees? Feeling Dogga gives off some serious psychedelic 1960s/1970s vibes.
  2. You and I obviously view 9.17 very differently, particularly contextualised against the last 10 minutes of the game. I don't call having 26 scoring shots and walking away 9 point winners as 'unlucky'. If they conceded those I50s against a more experienced side, albeit with the scoring shots that they had, they wouldn't've won that game. One man's lucky is another man's unlucky.
  3. Swans absolutely s**t the bed. I'd be filthy if I was a supporter and had to endure that ball use, it was beyond embarrassing. Given the seniority of some of their players, I would expect a lot more against a maligned side like the Dogs had tonight. The Dogs were lucky to win, but no doubt they'll get their tails up with some manufactured and over-engineered "us against the world, the AFL hates us, blah blah blah" rhetoric.
  4. Telecast begins at 6.30PM on Fox.
  5. Regardless of the outcome of the match tonight, I'm still not overly convinced of the credentials of either of these sides. The (likely) result has cemented that the Dogs are the biggest down hill skiers in the league. Most of their players are frontrunners and frankly they're a bunch of prima donnas. Sydney have a lot of talent but are young. I suspect their season will be up and down and whilst they'll make the 8, they have a while to go before they seriously challenge.
  6. Absolutely - it also generally takes a player of the contest which is my frustration. Spargo seemingly isn't constantly favoured by the umpires either (i.e Weightman).
  7. To be fair, Spargo does this a lot too - but he plays for us ;)
  8. Led by the poster boy, Cody Weightman
  9. I am so glad to see the Bulldogs back to their one-way-running best. #Freekickbulldogs
  10. No, I wouldn’t be satisfied. Contextually we have the best chance of winning a premiership in almost 6 decades. So I won’t be happy walking away with a participation ribbon. Don’t celebrate ‘almost’.
  11. Agree. I’d actually have Sydney as our toughest and best opposition we’ve played this year. It was great to come away with the win and was a great contest. The amount of people disrespecting Sydney and belittling them, particularly over Facebook, is absurd.
  12. Harmes for Sparrow. Unfortunately for Harmes he’s a liability. He mad some atrocious errors at some pivotal times in the game and how he was rewarded ahead of Sparrow is beyond me. I’d rather Jones out there, he offers more and his form has overwhelming been better. I understand it won’t happen, but that’s what I’d like to see.
  13. I read a lot of Demonology during the early 2000s - approx 2008 as it was one of the only footy forums I could access on my school computers. Yze_Magic and Range Rover were my favourites, from memory there was also a ‘Hightower’ too, unless that was on here? I had no idea about the coup business, that’s unbelievable, it sounds farcical at best! I’m somewhat disappointed I missed out on that.
  14. Great read and thanks for the report. For those that attended, did ANB play in the blue team? I’m glad to hear Spargo had continued his form of last year too. He did some nice things last year and was unfairly in and out of the team at times. Seems he isn’t one of Goodwin’s favourites. On the other side though is Harmes. Disappointing to hear he looked a mile off. If he has another year like last he could very quickly become surplus to our needs, with a lot of like-for-like players.
  15. The Match Centre back in those days was pretty cool, albeit clunky. I remember being a young 12 year-old and I was amazed by the graphic which showed a 'dot' for a player which would link up with a second 'dot/player' and showed the movement of the ball on the ground. Good times.
