  1. Now that De Goey has signed on, we should drive a hard bargain for Grundy’s services, knowing that they can’t afford to keep him and that he only wants to come to us. But instead we’ll play nice 🤮
  2. North shouldn’t have to give up their future 2nd in that swap. All things being fair, we’d be the ones needing to give up a future pick (if future second, then something later would need to come back imo)
  3. Our boys gave everything and then some this year. If ‘supporters’ aren’t happy, blame the coaches not the players.
  4. Barely 24 hours since he has indicated he will submit to the coaching process and he has the gig. Very thorough indeed.
  5. Coaches obviously don’t value his input equally.

Jest? Hardly. Fritta is way more mercurial.

Gunston couldn’t dream of having the talent of Fritsch.
  8. Yes. He’s trying to americanise everything.

Only problem is that they pick and choose which questions to answer. Where’s the transparency?

The board, especially the president and our facilities specialist CEO need to be held to account and inform us members what on earth is going on. Kate Roffey came in espousing the need for quality training facilities (as several before have done), yet we continue to remain in the dark, at the behest of the board. Time is well overdue to disclose the entire situation, otherwise step aside.
  11. In my case it would make for great viewing 😁😁😁
  12. It definitely feels like a tremendous weight has been lifted since becoming premiers. Sure going out in straight sets was frustrating, but the warmth and pride of winning it in 2021 definitely helped lessen the blow. Ill forever be content knowing I lived to see a Melbourne premiership.
  13. A great night. I only wished I’d set up a camera taping myself watching the game. The highs of the first quarter, followed by the next 1.5 quarters getting further and further gloomy……………………and then 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
  14. 2022 would suggest he is not entirely wrong
  15. Sorry @A F, but our small forwards proved for the majority of the year (especially in the 2nd half), that they cannot be trusted to bring the heat required. Our forward pressure was woeful this year, so too was the midfield’s. Our back line did well to hold up for as long as it did. It ain’t going to be as easier a fix as you suggest. Goody also needs to stop playing favourites and give chances to those who earn them
  16. Goody ain’t going down that route ED
  17. Maybe 12 players not 100% or with niggles, but I doubt we’d have had 12 injured players take the field
  18. If bringing in Henry means that Kossie stays long term, then where do I sign?!!!
  19. You are correct. He is currently entrenched in our bottom 6. The area we need to improve in.

I lay the blame for the second half of the year squarely on the coaches. I thought our playing group gave their absolute all and admirably left nothing in the tank.
  21. 100% correct this year. There was such a disconnect between Max and our mids that it more often than not saw us losing the clearance battle when he was rucking. I don’t want to win hit outs, I want us to win clearances as this is when we play our best football.
  22. Hunt hurt us quite a few times this year with his poor disposal and decision making, especially some horrific turnovers in the finals (he wasn’t alone though). However, we absolutely need his dash and dare, just further up the field. He would do very well on the opposite wing to Langdon.
  23. Yep, and im sure we'd be interested in Max King or Harry McKay. Doesn't me there's any chance of them coming to us.
  24. Please don't encourage him, he belongs in the 19th Century, not on the air with his own show on Sky News (Australia's own Fox News).
