Stating the bleeding obvious, and it’s been said for ages, but god we need a complete overhaul of our defensive coaches and tactics.

I see Tex did what Tex does best....................... a whole lot of nothing!

The AFL wants to reduce tackling
Demon Disciple replied to Ethan Tremblay's topic in Melbourne Demons
The board in charge of running the AFL is the most inept in footy's entire existence. I would be ashamed to have these nitwits running the MFC (let alone being responsible for running the game). They truly rival Trump in idiocy. But hey, so long as they are in the news. -
I reckon the whole club is still somewhat in denial about our PF last year (Goody in particular).

should be next SWYL.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Demon Disciple replied to Nascent's topic in Melbourne Demons
If you were the recruiting manager with pick #1 in the draft, would you pick Rowell or Anderson first? -
The old straight arm block - The Gawn rule.
Demon Disciple replied to wrecka45's topic in Melbourne Demons
If they were consistent, then they should be paying 50 frees against each ruckman in every game. The fact Gawn got penalised twice and no more, or none against the Dogs shows that the umps pick and choose when to enforce certain rules (or make [censored] up on the fly). Funny how it happened when we were winning or had the ascendency too. It further re-I forced my belief that outcomes of games are now being pre-determined. -
Still extremely raw, but there were some promising signs of Petty playing forward

Just wait for the UA to come out and give it their tick of approval. Umpires these days are looking to pay frees against, as opposed to frees for. -
Footscray v Casey Demons - Round 15
Demon Disciple replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Umps didn’t cost us the game, our woeful inaccuracy did. -

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Demon Disciple replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn’t say that Kemp is slow, he has good acceleration for a taller bloke, plus as he has displayed in this years carnival, he is capable of playing in the middle, as well as forward and back as he showed last year. -
The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Demon Disciple replied to olisik's topic in Melbourne Demons
So long as we bring in Brodie Kemp with our first pick, they can have as many PP’s that they want. -
Just strap him on the end of Saty’s scooter over pre-season and he’ll come back in ripping condition

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Demon Disciple replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
As much as I’d like to see Salem on a HBF, with the likes of May, Lever, Hore and Hibberd all being better than average kicks, we really need his class and disposal being used to deliver it into the forward line. -
i'm pretty sure there would be 17 clubs lining up to get him, not just GCS.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Demon Disciple replied to Nascent's topic in Melbourne Demons
I say we go to the draft with our first round pick this year. Spread the age profile a bit more, hopefully bring in some quality with the high pick (and hope like hell we don't have one as high for a long time afterwards). -
Good to see we’ve learned from the 1.8 against the Cows in the last, with an accurate 3.7 this quarter ?
-
Don’t worry Gorg, we’ll train it out of him over the summer
-
I reckon trying to bring him in to MFC would be a great idea , SK. Though i’d rather bring him out of retirement.

Key forwards - let's go shopping!
Demon Disciple replied to Matsuo Basho's topic in Melbourne Demons
Of his 26 disposals on the weekend , only 9 were effective. Wouldn't want to cough up much for him. -
OMAC out. Done! But seriously, i know he i young and inexperienced, but Weideman in the space of less than a year has gone from a promising young KPP to worrying to disaster. He is next to useless atm in the forward line. Sure some of that has to do with midfield problems, but the majority of it has to do with him being a pretty clueless footballer. I know he's recently re-signed, but would it be beyond the realms of possibility that he may be put up as trade bait? Or would he be better served with bringing in a #1 forward (Brown) and for TMAC to take #2 & Weid #3 defender?

On tonight's display, i am now convinced that umpires deliberately go out to influence games a particular way (via AFL directive). So long as the competition is churning out money, Gil and his cronies couldn't give a hoot about the sanctity of the game.
