It might just be me, but i feel that Weids doubts his own ability. Someone at the club needs to sit him down a continually show him his games in the finals last year. I'm sick of the club and supporters playing the victim card. We were in a PF 12 months ago. We are screwing ourselves, not the AFL. Chances are (going on previous draft history) the best kid in the draft won't come from the top 2 picks, thus we have a chance of drafting him with the #3 pick (not that i think we will have much luck there either - but you never know). With so many places to fix on our list, the difference between pick 2 & 3 will be negligible if our aim is to improve our team as a whole.

It is what it is, if it helps them then fair enough, if not then we can attempt to trade for Rowell or Anderson in 2 years time. Have a shot at Ben King, if that doesn't come off i'd try and bring in a Young/Ash along with Langdon, Tomlinson and possibly Elliott. Unless the deal is too good to refuse, i wouldn't 'split' the pick. What upsets me the most is that we are in the position of being affected by not getting the #2 draft pick in the first place (we shouldn't be anywhere near the bottom of the ladder, and yet we are).
