  1. Saints would have to feel the worst - to lose when up by 10 points with 80 seconds to go is criminal. Up there with Essendon's loss to Sydney!
  2. Poor Trenners, won't even get 1 final chance like Grimes did last year.
  3. The problem was that Mills got concussion. If it was just the punch and nothing else it might have been say three weeks. The concussion meant poor Buggy had his penalty doubled!
  4. Jake Lovett. I think we made the right call
  5. One delisting will be for Lumumba too obviously. So technically only need 2 more to get the mandatory 3 that are needed...
  6. On 3aw at the start of the week when they were talking about it the specific place they mentioned being looked at was Calcutta - the cricket stadium holds 60k. Not that you'd fill it! Would be a sponsorship move I'm guessing rather than a 'recruit future players move'... Apart from cricket and maybe hockey India bat well below their average!
  7. No games so far, been injured the whole time
  8. I see the bombers have now joined the race for Dusty. Wonder where he'll end up (or just the tigers on more cash?) Link
  9. Between pick 17 and 18 to be exact! https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.afl.com.au/staticfile/AFL%20Tenant/AFL/Files/Points-draft-value.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwiS8oPE0IfRAhVDhrwKHahVBJYQFgghMAI&usg=AFQjCNGcZ_T72ng9arJ6ofCguxE65JqRtw&sig2=Y47Ja4D9AHWmo7WATXPovA
  10. Agreed. It's not like every year the traditional clubs would be able to recruit four father son players each year
  11. I'm guessing no-one on Demonland has heard of Hannan!?
  12. Will be interesting to see who bids on the academy picks of Setterfield, Perryman, Cumming (a late bolter), Bowes etc... Certainly adds another dimension to the draft. Taylor said we'll go for best player but if we have two similarly ranked players available then we'll factor in needs. So what are they... two players from a ruckman, developing back and small forward?
  13. or they might just think he's no chance not to get snapped up by other clubs in the national and rookie drafts, therefore we won't get a free pass
  14. You don't nominate each player because you are definitely going to take them but in case you decide to take them. (it's not as guaranteed as father some). e.g Richmond and essendon nominated 6 players each, they can't actually take all of them. Melbourne must have now decided they're interested in other priorities, e.g ruckman. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2016-09-05/tigers-eyeing-off-kayle-kirby-as-a-category-b-rookie
  15. Yes. Won't be made official in terms of paperwork but can be announced. But feel free to take a break from Trade Whispers
  16. It's still a bargain. I get the salary cap thing but Mitchell will help West Coast's flag chances next year. He's slowing down at age 34 but he's still going to help them. Will play 1 year and maybe 50/50 on a second. I think a fairer swap would have been West Coast downgrading their pick 12 for Hawthorn's pick 14 (then Hawthorn would have had more bargaining power in the Tom Mitchell trade). Or at least swapping their pick 34 for Hawthorn's pick 36. The way it went through looks pretty ridiculous on paper. Edited to say Tom Mitchell not Sam.. too many Mitchells!
  17. We definitely won the Gysberts trade
  18. Bigfooty / SEN seem to suggest thommo's playing 1 more year in Adelaide. Interesting how much the Crows fans bag him out, they're scathing! https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/thommos-future-with-the-afc-retire-or-play-on.1141129/page-37
  19. Melbourne's 2013 season: 2 wins, 20 losses, percentage 54.1%..... PRIORITY PICK REJECTED Brisbane's 2016 season: 3 wins, 19 losses, percentage 61.1%..... PRIORITY PICK ??
  20. There's a big risk that Harvey could lose a bit of speed though, he'll be 39 next year.
  21. He's finished. Hasn't played well in the WAFL this year.
