Well at least you have given us an opinion so we know where you stand, rather than just potting from the keyboard! I think what you say about Schwab is very unfair. He may be rightly accused of meddling in FD affairs, but you know that he has done a heap - wheteher it be the Red and Blueprint, or on the balance sheet, to turn this club around through a viable business plan. I am not saying that the business decisions are not open to scrutiny, but it is simply false to say that Schwab hasn't focused on a sustainable business model.

Agree on that. We absolutely need a coach that dominates the players in terms of respect, uncompromising attitude and premiership experience.
-
Did you watch the presser? I was gutted watching him. I know the circumstances were regretful, but I thought he looked like a pale imitation of himself. Only Jim and the Board know whether he should be Pres. He still may be the best we have. But he should stop immediately if it's inhibiting his health.
-
We have an Eddie. His name's Jim. Unfortunately, Jim has to be concerned with things far more important than football.

I think the point is NOT to make the decision until the end of the year. A loss, however horrendous it was, shouldn't in and of itself change the course, which was for Bailey to see out the year. I think that the elephant in the room when the club was saying that Bailey acted with dignity (which he did) was that the club failed to honour its commitment to let him see out the year, and in fact it did not act with honour and dignity. They should have waited until the end of the year.

Hasn't potted the club, has talked up the future of the MFC. Took responsibility to the extent that he could. Well done Dean. As Jimmy said, a man of integrity. I would add selfless.
-
If it does, it will be by accident!

Fair questions.... all of them!!! Tigers would stand for tribalism, Collingwood for working class masses.
-
And given what's going on at Head Office that is still to play out, I would put a slab on it that all we get is the same media bulltish.
-
I was actually saying that down at the Cattery as well. It's far better that this happened than an "honourable" 10 goal loss. An honourable loss would have wallpapered the cracks. There is nowhere to hide after what happened.
-
I know it's easy for the media to kick a side when they're down, but ask yourself, if we stand for something, what is it?
-
Let me tell you, the 186 point result had nothing to do with Geelong. 10 goals yes. Not 186. We are a disgrace.
-
Do you live in Egypt Rhino? Cos you're fair dinkum in denial. Honestly, it's ok to be wrong. People won't think any less of you. I didn't pick a 31 goal loss from Green OTC, I picked what I already knew, which was that there was disunity at every level of the club. And it wasn't just his body language. It was his comments. Blind Freddy could observe it, but apologists and after-the-fact experts couldn't apparently see it. Isn't it interesting that according to Caro, the day after OTC, Green and others met the Board to confess their disillusionment..... If the MFC was a good at playing, coaching, managing football as it is at selling us all false, rubbish, hope, I for one would be thrilled.

That's true re McD. I can only say that, when leadership (coach, Board, etc...) preach unflinching commitment, then shaft the most devoted, selfless captain up the rear end, there will be fallout.
-
Maybe so, but aren't we all so clever now? A big on-field loss loss, and all of a sudden it's our management. Yet when it was patently obvious there were issues last week, and Green have up the ghost on On the Couch, we are jumping at shadows.

Sacrificial lamb is disrespectful. Is that really how you want to treat a bloke who is working for the club? Moloney had a virus. he should never have played. He probably believed he could. he was wrong. But he does not deserve that at all. He has been our closest thing to a leader all year, without any doubt. Sylvia has to be traded, like and for the same reasons as TJ.
-
And yet, it appears that the CEO will get the chop. I am a bit either way on Schwab, probably more on the side of retaining. I still have absolute faith in Jim's decision making (assuming he is capable of making lucid decisions ATM). Whilst I respect the volunteerism of McLardy and the fact he stood up under adversity, he is a good Vice, not a great president, so I really I hope the right people are making the right decisions at the right time.

How about every time we have had an opportunity to stand up this year?

Explain the arms tied comment pls?

I find that when I'm digging into my final reserves, humour is all I have left.

Agree. Stayed until the end. When Watts was pinged for deliberate in he last I went mad and said that the umps had killed us all day! Got good laughs. Pie was good. The team, just embarrassing. I have never felt more ashamed.
-
True. Sad, but true.
-
Massive problem if no-one comes forward, tho...

At game. This is fun. I brought a heart. Therefore I can prove there is a red and blue heart here. Just one. Jurrah, Maric, Watts behind the ball. Not that it matters. Bugger em all. Honestly.

I hope it's loud and full of excited demons!
