  1. You might want to load up on booze or something. It’s going to be a very ugly poor quality game! 😆
  2. That goal kicking accuracy is a big improvement from last year. It's a key reason why we belted some teams like the Swans by 50+, and it's actually the main reason we beat the Tigers too as they beat us everywhere except the scoreboard due to inaccuracy. Hats off the Choco Williams for his work on our goal and field kicking accuracy and the players for working hard on this important aspect of the game. Our accuracy holds us in good stead to knock over Collingwood IMO.
  3. Awesome news! We love you Kozzie! So exciting to see what he’ll produce over the next four years. He already has a huge impact on games and still has more growth left in his game. Also, cop that Kane Cornes you muppet!
  4. Adelaide lost that match. Collingwood didn’t win. If the Crows kicked even 50% accuracy they win. Bad kicking is bad football. The Pies are a good team but they’re not unstoppable. Generate scoring shots and don’t stuff up too many of them and you beat them. Crows should’ve beat them by 4-5 goals today. Guess who the most accurate team in the league is this year… Yep. The Dees. We show up, bring the intensity, play our brand of footy and we’ll beat the Pies.
  5. They just traded the farm for Taranto and Hopper thinking they were still in premiership contention. They traded two first rounders, a second rounder and a future first! By my calculations they’re currently set to hand GWS pick 3 and won’t have a first round pick themselves until 2025 draft! Era is over and they’re going to languish down the bottom longer than usual because they got no draft capital now and the new Tassie team will get concessions in a few years when they finally get picks again. It’s going to be an ugly time for Richmond. They did get to enjoy three flags though so big success.
  6. Dealer? That’s being generous. Looks more like the addict with a rotted brain needing us fix. 100% fake tough guy. Nothing surer than Maynard coming in and attacking an unsuspecting opponent.
  7. I thought the selection committee was poor with rewarding form last year. Chin was dominant in the VFL and was having back to back 30 disposals and/or multiple goal games. He should’ve been given games at AFL level last year and had every right to be annoyed at wasting his career in the VFL. He was beyond that level. He’s been given opportunity this year at AFL level and flourished. He’s always been able to find ball, but his finishing skills around goal have been the most impressive part of his season for me. He’s kicked some absolute ripper snaps that are up there with Kozzies magic. I’m so happy he’s been able to cement his spot in the team. Well deserved and means he won’t leave for opportunity either. Well done Chin and keep it up. Here’s hoping you can add an AFL premiership to your VFL one!
  8. Coughed up 3 goals in the last 4 minutes. Disappointing ending. Great win regardless. Well done boys!
  9. How good is this! After we lost to this rubbish club so many times, we’re finally giving it back to them. Break them!
  10. This is great! Keep up the momentum boys. Build the percentage with 100+ win please!
  11. This should be a percentage building win but we generally get dragged down to a lower standard when playing poor teams and rarely thump them. Should be a comfortable win nonetheless. Hoping to see a few players like May, Petty and Kozzie return to form after a poor few games.
  12. Great stuff from the club and looks like Dolly had the time of her life!
  13. Good on Nibbler and the club. From being told to look around to valuable role player. He’s the definition of resilience and perseverance. Glad he’s hitting the scoreboard again this year. His best seasons were 2018 and 2021 where he hit the scoreboard as well as providing link up run.
  14. Huge out. He’s been one of the best mids in the league that past 12 months or so. We should have more of an advantage around the contest.
  15. BBrown is having back issues and coming back via VFL to ease him back in and prove his fitness. It’s a shame as he was in great form before getting injured. I don’t expect BBrown or TMac to be in the team next year and wouldn’t be surprised if either retired at the end of the year despite being contracted for one more year. They’ve both been good players over the journey, but their bodies are packing up and neither can stay out in the park or maintain form once they make it out there.
  16. I thought Chandler was injured? Surely on a 5 day turn around they don’t risk him and give Laurie a chance against a bottom four team!
  17. Feel for Laurie out (or maybe sub again). It must be frustrating for the next rung down waiting for opportunities when they’re beyond VFL footy. Dunstan and Harmes are shredding VFL at the moment and wasting their time there. The team isn’t overly inspiring on paper and we’re not in good form at the moment either. The Tigers would’ve beat us if they kicked straight. They won the contested ball, had more inside 50s and more shots. We conceded the most inside 50s we’ve done in 4 years. Our whole team defense is a real worry at the moment. Not saying it’s a danger game, but we need to lift. The next three weeks are our percentage boosters. Once this block is done, we’ll have played and beaten up on all bottom 7 teams except Freo.
  18. Our attendance last year was brilliant and we’ve carried on with it again this year. Membership number vs attendance, we’re number 1 in the elegies. Statistically the most loyal fans second year running now if this keeps up. Great effort Dees fans!
  19. I hate Hardwick, but he’s not exactly wrong if he thought that. Tigers kicked 0 goals 5 points in the final quarter. Our accuracy in front of goal, and their inaccuracy in front of goal, was the deciding factor in the match. They generated more inside 50s, more shots at goal and had better pressure than us with more tackles and twice as many tackles inside 50. This was not a strong win by us, so the votes being split amongst players from both teams is fair. We should be thankful we got the win after a poor showing from our players. Our form the last few weeks has been worrying. Still a long way to go in the season and thankfully we have 3 matches against the other bottom four teams now. After this easy patch though, we will have beat up on the bottom six and lost to all top 8 teams we’ve played so far. Let’s hope we can turn our form around come finals time.
  20. Very similar feeling to when Hogan burst onto the scene back in 2015. Would love JVR to kick 40+ like Hogan did back then in his first year. JVR's leap and mark reminded me of Naughton. When he gets a clear run and jump at it, he launches and collects it in front while laying waste to the bodies in his path. Very exciting!
  21. Defense isn't Grundy's strength for sure, but it's no worse than most other rucks. Essendon's rucks did well against him because they overworked him in 2-1. One took a break, the other tagged in. He wasn't able to keep up, and most ruckman wouldn't on their own. Even Max has had games in the past where teams like Port or Saints worked him over and beat him. Grundy's form overall has been fine though. Hardwick acknowledged him as the game changer in the 3rd quarter, so opposition coaches rate his impact. If his form keeps improving, we'll be in for a treat!
  22. The 1JVR 93cm measurement is old. I read he was 195cm now and about 96kg. He certainly plays taller than his height suggests with his leap and strength in the contest, similar to Charlie Curnow who is only 192cm.
  23. Great effort Dees fans. Biggest home and away crowd since 1964 apparently. Our home game attendance rate vs membership number is number 1 in the league again so far this year. We are unquestionably the most loyal fans in the league. Anyone who suggests otherwise can go [censored] the selves.
  24. Still over 10 mins to go. Keep going boys!
