  1. I am now officially over it..... It leaves us with Pick 4 which is extremely good..... Our new coach has obviously got the place buzzing.... When fit, we have a list that can defeat anyone on it's day.... And without Judd, we can go into the 2008 season under the radar..... The expectation on us in 2008 if we had him would've been unbelievable! Work 'em like dogs Bailey!!!!! Mediocrity is no longer in their voacabulary!!!!
  2. If he has told us it is not us due to our facilities...... You do the maths!!! I am so shocked that my hatred for the Filth can actually triple..... Prepare to welcome the new Nathan Buckley!!! Grrrrrr!!!!!!
  3. One good thing to come out of this..... The 2008 Queens Birthday Bloodbath will be a beauty!!!!! Will take great pleasure beating the filth with Judd in their side.....
  4. Well..... I am surprisingly not that fussed...... I actually think I am already over it..... I might just go and take a lie down....... In the bath..... With a toaster@!!!!!!! F*^K COLLINGWOOD!!!!!
  5. During the frenzy of the Chris Judd issue, I have been spending time on BigFooty searching for any news.... They have a post on there that is telling everyone that Chris Mainwaring has died of a heart-attack!!! If this is true then it is a shockin' story! The bloke was a great footballer and was only 41 yrs old with a young family..... Apparently he has been doing some fantastic motivational speaking since his retirement..... RIP if true....
  6. I would be [censored] if we lost either!! After plenty of thought, I have decided that I would be more [censored] if we gave up Petterd..... Like others have said, he has class and poise and I love the reference to James Hird earlier in this thread.... The kid has footy smarts and that is more valuable than a potential KPP (IMHO)
  7. As a famous red-headed politician once said..... PLEASE EXPLAIN!!!
  8. Rumours are always rife at this time of year, but after hearing the rumour that we could be willing to trade either Frawley or Ricky to the Saints for Pick 9, I am posing the question.... Who would you be willing to let go, remembering that we will most likely be off-loading the pick to the WCE.... I would be spewing if we got rid of Petterd!!! The kid was one of the shining lights of our season IMHO..... Only a shocking injury/illness robbed him of a stellar debut year.... Frawley is another one who I would be loathe to get rid of.... The kid has a big future and I would like to see him in the Red 'n Blue for a long time!
  9. Dunn and Bate will be midfielders next year.... Bate has to work his coit off tho if he is planning on being in our best 22 if we get Judd!!! We are all but guaranteed Meesen as a ruckman which only leaves us with a few holes in our backline as fas as I am concerned... We will draft a decent player and if we can hold on to Frawley, with Rivers and Whelan back in the side we should be sweet to have a tilt at a top 4-6 position in 2008....
  10. Not if the boys on 6PR in Perth are correct..... Rivers to Adelaide?!?!?!?!
  11. Geelong by over 100 and Steve Johnson for the Norm Smith..... I have psychic abilities :D
  12. To be honest, this GF is just about impossible to pick.... I will stick with Geelong, by 14 points, but would not be surprised if Port sneak home.... Norm Smith medal is a given!! G. Ablett will be out to prove to the rest of the country that he is in fact better than Bartel in the big games.... Put your house on Gary to get the Norm Smith!!!
  13. After watching the Brownlow Medal count I have come to the conclusion that Chris Judd is worth any damn thing it takes! Brownlow Voting R1. Sydney v West Coast (TS) 3. C Judd (WC) R2. 14. Congratulations Jimmy! From a passionate football lover, it has been a pleasure watching you play this year.... Except against us of course! Beat the more fancied Son of God in the medal count and a worthy winnner! Jimmy Bartel Season Highlights 29 disps (19 kicks 10 hballs), 6 marks, 4 tackles and a goal in First Qualifying Final 106-pt win over the Kangaroos at the MCG (9 Sep 2007) 36 disps (19 kicks 17 hballs), 8 marks, 6 tackles and a goal in Rd 20 27-pt win over the Kangaroos at Docklands Stadium (19 Aug 2007) 35 disps (21 kicks 14 hballs), 13 marks, 5 tackles and 2 goals in Rd 19 33-pt win over Adelaide at Kardinia Park (12 Aug 2007) 38 disps (16 kicks 22 hballs) and 8 marks in Rd 16 75-pt win over the Western Bulldogs at Docklands Stadium (20 Jul 2007) 31 disps (22 kicks 9 hballs), 12 marks, 5 tackles and a goal in Rd 10 60-pt win over St Kilda at Docklands Stadium (3 Jun 2007) 26 disps (18 kicks 8 hballs), 5 marks and 2 goals in Rd 9 56-pt win over Port Adelaide at Football Park (27 May 2007) 35 disps (22 kicks 13 hballs), 10 marks, 6 tackles and a goal in Rd 3 52-pt win over Melbourne at the MCG (15 Apr 2007)
  15. Anyone that doesn't rate Goose as a decent backman has a fair lack of footy smarts! The bloke (like previously said) was coming back from a horrific injury to his leg..... He is hard, strong and able to provide run off the backline..... If Melbourne missed out on Judd, but picked up McGuire instead.... I would be more than happy going into next year!! People constantly whinge and [censored] about our backline being weak on this site.... And then when a quality, tough as nails backman is up for grabs, people say he is not worth getting!! HAHAHA..... Some people make me laugh
  16. Bartram, Petterd, Frawley and Jones...... 19 yrs old Bate, Bode, Buckley, Dunn and Newton ....... 20 yrs old Melbourne has a bright future..... Do not get sucked in by the media pumping up the Pies tyres!! We had a bad run with injuries and we got some good game time into our juniors.... Next year will be very, very interesting....
  17. Harris deserves a lot more credit than he is being given.... Bohdan..... Bah!! Poo!! Leave and leave ASAP!! Can't believe Krazy Bailey is still absorbing this peanuts thoughts!!!
  18. Nice way to start my Saturday..... Nothing better than a good read and a coffee in the morning..... I believe the next 5 years will see the MFC head in a direction that will please us all..... Dean Bailey and Chris Connolly will "mongrel" our place up a bit and we will be on our way..... Judd or no Judd..... Every heart still beats true!
  19. Then we are a dead set certainty to get him!!!!! The Ox was great when he played for us..... Since then he has become quite the tool
  20. I'm pretty sure the club is not stupid!! They would not be giving away a Top 5 draft pick and 1 or 2 players without checking his medical records first! I just wish some people would show some faith in our board.... It is a multi-million $$$$ business..... Not the bloody Doveton Primary School Tuck Shop!!!!
  21. That is exactly what I believe will get Chris Judd in the Red 'n Blue next year.... Restoring the pride and position of a once great club!!! That is why I thought we would get Sheedy! And if Bailey hadn't been so amazing, I am sure Sheeds would've got the gig.... I believe the writing is on the wall..... Demons 2008..... Bailey in charge..... Judd, Jones and Juice ready to go into battle! Oh yes! Next season shall be glorious!! All hail King Bail
  22. To say that the key to the MFC lies on Frawley's shoulders is one of the more ridiculous things I've heard this year.... Chopper is a no-holds barred defender who has improved a helluva lot over the last 2 seasons.... He will only get better! Frawley will become a solid backman.... But needs time to fill out (as you have said) and once Rivers is back in the side I think we will have a pretty solid defence over the next 5 seasons.... Throw in Garland at some stage and Petterd back as a running defender (ala McLeod) and we will be in good stead for the future.... To heap all the pressure on Frawley is not fair on the boy at this stage of his career..... He will mature into a solid defender by age 24 IMHO.... Lets just hope we have a better run with injuries in 2008 and you just watch what this club can do!!
  23. Put 3 wagers on last week.... $10 on S.Thompson to finish Top 5 - $41 $10 on J-Mac to lead MFC votes - $4.50 $10 on Jones to lead MFC votes - $5.00 Figure I should easily walk away with a profit.... One of those two will definately be our highest vote getter! A bit sceptical on the Scott Thompson one, as I think McLeod will take a lot of votes off him..... But worth a punt at over 40-1
  24. What about Steve and Mark Waugh???? Pretty sure they were in an Australian team together.....
  25. Whether or not Garry and Neale got along is not really relevant.... I think whatever help/assistance Garry gives the footy club is fantastic! He has a huge workload with media commitments and for him to even spare any of his time is awesome! I do believe that Garry is genuinly excited about the immediate future of the club and, if asked, would go out of his way to help..... He will always be a hero in my eyes and people should not underestimate the "pull" that he has around Victoria....
