Well, just returned home after watching the match at my local.... Was interesting due to the fact there was no sound on the tv, so a purely visual perspective (rather than listening to commentators BS)... One thing that stood out above all else was one Mr Jack Grimes... This kid is seriously good! His ability to read the play was nothing short of awesome... I knew he was good and had a bright future, but at the rate he is going, barring anymore serious injury, Jack is going to be an AA defender within the next couple of years... His spoiling is top rate and his positioning in a contest is a joy to watch... A coaches dream I reckon... Shows leadership way beyond his years and I can clearly see why people bring his name up whenever future MFC captaincy is mentioned... Lots to work on for the boys after tonight, but positives also... but Grimes was the standout Geez he was impressive....

B+ from me... That is because I am fairly confident we will break our Moron Park hoodoo this week... Some great gametime into our young boys and the backline is becoming a well oiled machine... Apart from a few moments of pain it has been an enjoyable season... The signs are there...

Jackson Trengove got this weeks nomination... Did have a ripper match... Time definitely running out for Jordie... Hanneberry is a shoe in for the chocolates though... Great season

I will probably get shot down for this topic, but seriously, I don't give a toss!! To all Melbourne players.... You have members who live in Adelaide.... We spend year upon year giving $hit to the locals about how crap they are and how when Melbourne come to town, they will beat the living suitcase out of the Crows & Power.... Fair dinkum Dees.... Put up a fight goddamn it!! This is beyond a joke.... Get some heart!! Apart from a few players in the side who are SA bred, you have no idea what it is like living amongst these ferals.... SA based MFC members look forward to the games at AAMI every year and unfortunately, what you serve up time and time again is an absolute disgrace to the jumper! Have a go at my post if you must, I don't really care.... but try living in this $hithole year in and year out..... The people of SA have absolutely no respect for the MFC and nor should they, with what they see each time my beloved side travel over the border! Hang your heads Melbourne..... Hang your heads! End of rant..... And abuse me all you like Demonlanders.... I pay my membership each and every year like every one of you.... I don't give a crap if you think I am not a true supporter.... Just the usual Crows rhetoric.... They are fairly confident over here going into this match.... They did agree with me that the youngsters from Melbourne are a future force to be reckoned with, but I think that is the general feeling around the country.... Must admit, the Crows do have an exciting crop of youngsters as well.... Tippett, Walker, Dangerfield etc... But pfffft.... Who cares about them!

Rang the local sports show here in Adelaide to pump the game up for Sunday and tell the Adelaide public that they better get out there and watch the young guns of Melbourne run around.... Future stars like Grimes, Frawley, Trengove, Scully, Watts etc etc.... They offered me a double pass for the game.... then turned around and said "Sorry, we only have double passes to the Crows v Bummers game July 3rd".... I said are you kidding me, why would I want to watch that match.... 5 mins later, phone call back.... Double pass to the game this Sunday.... In with the Dees Cheersquad!! Awesome news.... Let's rip this game apart Melbourne! Living in Adelaide eats balls.... But sometimes it has it's moments Go Dees!

Not sure if anyone else knew about this but our very own Jack Watts has hit the jackpot... I just saw him hosting Eurovision on SBS... Well done Jack

Now this thread is not a whinge about him looking slow and overweight..... We have been saying since day dot that he needs to gain a bit of weight and when he does he gets bagged But.... One thing I did happen to notice last night when he was running around in the first quarter.... How F'ing big is this kid going to get?? Has he shot up by a few inches, he looks a $hitload taller than last time I saw him play.... And with the right conditioning and a touch more growth, this boy could be an absolute unit! Just thought I would throw it out there.... He did look slow, but I think with some match fitness and a few less turtles with Wonna (or some bench-press to go with the extra turtles) this kid will be a monster in a couple of years! GO Dees.... Great win last night.... I honestly lost faith with 10 mins to go.... Good to see you come out on the right side of a close one.... Top effort!

I have heard some crazy predictions in my time.... haha.... But this topic is a pearler guys!! Let's just enjoy this season for what it is.... A season to watch our youngsters mature and learn from the better teams in the competition.... Learn what it takes physically and mentally to will yourself over the line in a tight contest.... This season will have some amazingly exciting moments (like the filth game) and some moments where you wonder what the hell they are doing (like the Hacks game).... But at the end of the season we will all be chomping at the bit to see what is on offer in 2011 and beyond.... Enjoy the ride.... Go Dees!
